Definition is a Welsh town. Clued by two words reading upwards.

Great puzzle. The John Travolta clue was brilliant!

I am stuck on a different clue from everyone else! 17a

Plodded my way through all but 9a.
One state clearly fits the grid, but I just can't figure any way to parse it to reach that conclusion.

I don't know why, but I've finished, though some unparsed.

9a a word for "I", or "self" inside a cereal with first letter missing.

Odd anagram indicator in 20a; odd removal indicator in (LOI) 7d.
I've managed to parse nearly all now. Any hints for 15a and 18d parsings, please?

15a A, then 3 letters for sticker inside three letters for play

18d three letters for close, one letter for end of relation, both reversed, all inside the act of affection

chrise - 15 is a + three-letter word for sticker inside three-letter word for play. 18 is four-letter word for affectionate act around three-letter word for close (noun) + relation finally (one letter) going up.

Thanks (I think!) for that, jono. I must have got them both wrong then, as your explanations don't work for either!
