Several posts on the first page of this thread (also Hotelwhiskey at 21) cover both the move of the H and the disappearing letters on the bottom row. Posts for which I was extremely grateful! Hope that helps

Am I missing the point? the down 4 letter word is swapped with the bottom row 4-letter word leaving all real words. That's step 1. Step 2 can't 'move' the down word away as it leaves two non-words. So it must be the bottom row word that moves away (leaving real two letter words. That's step 2 . And then the prediction is put along the bottom again creating 4 new 3-letter words. But where do the letters of the step 2 go. They are moved to illustrate step 2 but I can't see where they can possibly go and create new words. I am leaving both 6-letter words untouched which I am guessing must be wrong.

Raggedy - step 2 does move the down word and shouldn’t leave any non-words.

Step 2 is meant to reflect the Second law.

Raggedy
The down 4 letter word moves to a place that turns the two non-words back into words :)

Thanks candledave and hearer. Yes, I see it now and it's impressive.

Still think that moving the across answer to achieve a similar result would have been a more satisfying result especially as the intermediate 2-letter words were all valid as well.

Still a very satisfying and challenging puzzle (well for me anyway)

Thank you both
