I was really hampered at the end by having two wrong answers prior to modifcation. i had rum for the part of the UK, which seemed to work, but it was obviously wrong. i was convinced about the T and C thematics, but went round in circles for hours. Solving 23 letter anagrams, without much help, is not my idea of fun. I found this a lot more difficult than other people cleary did.

Enjoyed this. Had to work backwards from the endgame to resolve a couple eg kept thinking IoM for part of the UK rather than a much larger part and it took a while to work out 11a. Generous to give the number of letters in the redesigned puzzle title and this helped. The first across clue was the one that got the ball rolling.

Oh dear. In spite of the C and T confirmation, I seem to have gone wrong as I'm left with peraion as my anagram for the 7 letter item . Could someone enlighten me as to where I've gone wrong please.

My head is hurting trying to muddle my way through this, but think I have gotten further without help than I did last week so that's progress! Could I have a hint for 29a please, hoping that might help me get 21d and then the rest of that corner. Thanks

Reverse an old word for "stink". Loop is the definition.

21d is a straightforward anagram. Good luck.

Tony, difficult to know exactly but the R and E look wrong and you don’t have the letters taken from the title in there.

tonynannini - it looks like you've taken the wrong pair of letters from the title.
