There are only 4 words in the NE quadrant, do you mean the NW quadrant?

Loge, Drxx, SmellyHarry. Thank you for your helpful comments. We already meet several of the criteria stipulated: mid-seventies, maths/physics graduates, grammar Nazis, attention to detail (parsing freaks), plenty of time and, above all, a particular love of elegance in puzzles. A chance meeting with Aedites in Myanmar about ten years ago set us on the path towards Listenerhood and enlightenment, or maybe endarkenment nowadays! Rather than submit and be rejected, we wanted to run some ideas past an editor before getting too far in and wasting time. Any useful names or numbers might be useful. Thank you all again.

My error: the riddle for NE has 4 words, not 6.

...if it is the NW, than the significance of the last 5 words is to suggest that the 'riddle' has to do with the nature of the P... word and the type of 'work' involved.

...but you might be hankering after for some deeper significance.

Apologies. I meant ,,NW quadrant last 5 wordS. Same question though. I don't want to give the game away, but those last 5 words must mean something, surely?

The last 5 words are just there to clarify that the P word refers to a fictional character rather than artisan, surely?

Haven't read any previous posts - but don't the last 5 words make it a riddle (giving the word play on words 4 and 6)?
