I’m struggling to see how 29 across works. Any help much appreciated.

I read it as the usual abbr. for "millions" + 4 letter synonym for "set in motion" (as in 'agitate') minus the extra letter reversed/swirling around the usual single letter for "lake".

Thanks Brendan for the help with 27 which I hadn’t worked out but I am stuck on the wordplay for 29.

Incidentally our library gives access to the Times digital archive. This has hundreds of old Listener puzzles which seem to be a lot harder than the current offerings! A valuable resource.

29a 3 letter synonym for "very cold" minus the extra letter reversed/about + 6 letter word for "limit" (I didn't know this meaning but it's in Chambers)

Thanks, Brendan. It now means that I don't understand the significance of the first 3 words in the new clue, albeit I've finished the puzzle and the colouring-in

Finished grid last night. Failed to spot hidden words. First thing this morning they jumped out of page... weird! Also spent time down Titian alley... Thanks for parsing of 27ac - got fixated on using letters from “set”...

Dylan - first three letters of answer correspond to first four words of hidden clue.

My last one is 37 across. Only one word fits in but I haven’t got a clue how it works.
