I think you will, rad - Kea has been very generous with his endgame, if only he hadn't been such a miserable *** with the clues, this would have been a joy all the way (for me, at least).

98% of the way there ... but I have 8 clues needing 2 letters to be moved. I don't think at this late stage i'm giving too much away by listing them: 1, 7, 9, 17, 21, 24, 30, 33. Which one am I including incorrectly? And while I'm at it, the message in Ring 5 is 5,8,6,3,4,10 I assume, but the 3,4 means nothing to me. Perhaps my two errors are lined.

fgsltw - 36 is the name of a famous US director, ends with a 4 letter word for 'promote' (market?) reversed ('inward looking').

I hope the last sentence of my earlier reply helps with 35.

30 ends with that letter, cockie - it doesn't have to move.

ok sunray - for 35 it's the obvious 4 letter alternative to the infernal region 'dis',followed by a 2 letter Norse god.

You seem to have been ‘on duty’ all day! I think of you as a really helpful person but I’m at a loss to know how to say your name, even to myself. I’m torn between Doctor Who and Doctor No. I think I’ll go for the former version! Thanks again.

...re the 'message' the 3 letters is simply 'for' - the 4 letter word is what the 10 letter word is dealing with (all of it together).

Thanks for all the help. Couldn’t have done it without you! Worth persevering with for satisfaction but wow, that is a whole day of my life I’ll never get back! I suppose some people do jigsaws, or models, or online games, but for me a listener is the most absorbing way to spend a lockdown day!
