No query, just praise for another great puzzle! It was fun to do and came together very cleverly.

Just at the point of following the instruction spelled out.
But going to break off for a while because I went to Tesco this norning for essentials . . . and found trays of bedding plants.

Far too early, but going to pot them up and keep in shed.
(Sorry to go off subject, but I was a bit miserable about prospect of colourless summer.)

. . . but now that I've finished the puzzle, I realise I shouldn't have left the house.

Just a question about the last clue. I'm presuming the letter is the one that occurs before X? And that if we were writing out the instruction we would insert a comma after the ninth word - or even insert the word 'thereby'?

I meant to say: insert 'thereby' before the ninth word.

Nelson, that wouldn't work for the instruction I have.

The instruction has given me a 13 letter hyphenated word.

Nelso, I'll need to have another look at mine - I have very rough, scribbled notes!
