Ukridge, once you have the base...the next two follow. It's amazing how they think these things up!

Ukridge, what do you think it is going to say in 14 letters, 2 words, at this time on that shape? (:o)

I hope I have the correct entry at 28. No one has found any ambiguity in it, but the clue can arguably be read in two ways, breaking it into three components.

Haha. I think I knew on Friday exactly what I was looking for Granama1. I did find it eventually. Lots of staring. Thanks again.

I have just reached this point in my solve and I agree saoralba. Could anyone please confirm whether this is resolved in the endgame? I have opted for L as the unchecked letter in my 28d solution.

...and having just thought about it a bit longer I can now see why it has to be L as ‘suite of king’ is the definition.

This could arguably be read as a double definition clue but the “in” points to the last part being a definition.
This is confirmed by the misprint being in that section and the preamble says that misprints are in the definition.
So yes, I agree the L is the correct entry in the unch.

Having some difficulty filling the grid.
Any hints for 3d and 12d would be very welcome.

3d In the spec, cooked meals to group like Animals?

12d Opportunistically take ten, at last, with ace of clubs in whist

Casanova, 3d is an anagram (cooked), there's a typo in the definition.
12d Whist as in hush!, with last of ten, AC in + it's one of those with a cell with 2 letters in.
