drxx - thank you, I think your criticisms are fair, and your comments regarding the clues are much appreciated. I put the puzzle together as a distraction from the process of moving house (argh!) and I was keen to get on relatively quickly to the clue writing, which is the sort of thing one can be mulling over whilst tidying the house ready for yet another viewing or waiting (im)patiently for one's solicitor to call. In hindsight I agree that the narrative created by the preamble required Andy to be actually found (rather than his approximate location established), thus potentially producing a much more satisfying denouement.

I enjoyed this very much.
As for Sloane Square, all you had to do was go to Google Maps, drop the little man in, (Street View), look east and see Royal Court, look West and see Peter Jones, both in huge block capital letters on their facades!
Thanks Triton.

Your response to my criticism has been more than generous Triton, thank you.

After all of the hassle I hope your house move was success (the clues certainly justify the time it must have taken you to complete it).

lumen - What was the name of the little google man?

Hi again drxx, an excerpt from wiki;

As noted above, the drag-and-drop Pegman icon is the primary user interface element used by Google to connect Maps to Street View. His name comes from his resemblance to a clothespeg. When not in use, Pegman sits atop the Google Maps zoom controls. Occasionally Pegman "dresses up" for special events or is joined by peg friends in Google Maps. When dragged into Street View near Area 51, he becomes a flying saucer. When viewing older views, the Pegman in the minimap changes to Doc Brown from Back to the Future.[45]

Pegman has occasionally appeared as a costumed character at Google events, such as the launch of Street View in France in 2008.[citation needed]

That's great research ginge, thank you . I'll start working on those anagrams right now - and isn't 'doc' (not the brown bit) a setter too?
