I can get up to 30, but only if I include 34a, which is a theme word, but is also defined so shouldn’t be in.

I counted back thirty all undefined. I'll give you the number tomorrow when I'm home.

Which one do you think is defined?

I see what you mean with 34a. I've counted that as part of the theme.

Rogerm - do you mean 54a which is a theme word but is also defined(rather than 34a)?

Have managed to get on OK. Probably further than I should have for a Bank Holiday prize because I don't know the theme. Have we seen them here before and maybe elsewhere? Otherwise I have no idea.
