32a Yesterday's men taking three times as much... grid entry 4 letters , but i suspect this is a themed one so could be longer word length. I have ?EA?

33d Those concentrating light and see sermon on Sabbaths (6) ?AS?R?
could possibly be longer as above........

(I have the phrase from the extras and know what to do with the themed answers...but can't fathom these 2)

Hi Bunty

32a is themed as you suspect. Definition is Yesterday.

33d is normal

Hi Bunty,

I would have thought 33d is LA = see, SER = sermon, and S = sabbath(s)

Bunty, maybe it shouldn't have been normal? Maybe it should have been treated like others?

I have only half solved so do not have the message.
For 28d, I have two letters for belong to and 5 for the sect. A word for smiling as answer. So I m not sure how can it not be normal.

Help with two to start with. One extra letter in each to be discarded before solving.

6. Heavily crushing whoever in terror left nasty smell (8)

17. Empty teahouse let me doss in the middle, moving some seats (9)

Thanks.
