Didn’t enjoy this one as much as the previous two weeks. Found it a slog. Always find replacement letter clues much harder than add or subtract a letter. Spent an hour trying to find the fifth letter, given enology isn’t in chambers under E, never thought of looking under Oe. Very frustrating.

Having finished I can see this has been cleverly put together so fair play. Two answers I can’t parse. 21d don’t understand the top heraldic decoration bit. 35d - I assume the first letter is e to mean peace, but don’t understand the wordplay?

SH - 21d "top" means remove first letter from bordure. 35d the answer is hidden in the clue.

I've no longer got my grid, but I think the fifth change was at Agonises, becoming....
