RE 69 - the last one I solved, too. All good crossword clues have a definition part & a word-play part. "Plain pi" is the wordplay & the rest of the clue is the definition. Don't forget to be generous when you submit.

I've got 69 now (hopefully). The second word is not a favourite vegetable of mine!!!

I think your vegetable answer is to question 29 and not 69.
I am still struggling with number 69, and I find all the additional clues on this post most confusing.
It certainly is a difficult clue - will continue to puzzle it from time to time, and keep an eye to this forum later.

Both 29 and 69 are veg.

Am sure the veg for 69 is correct too and is simply worked out by taking each word separately.

Can anyone give me any hints to 75
....but the setter appears to be at the front but in a corner (7,5)

I think I have the vegetables now, although 69 still not sure how this fits the clue.
Proceeding very slowly with the rest of the quiz, about half done.

Could the word setter be the actual clue ?
