I also haven't picked up on the Treasure Hunt theme and am just solving clues according to my interpretation of the answer to the clue. Or vice versa!

The theme will become apparent when you look through your answers :)

tintin, realise title and picture always give clue to theme. As I said been doing these a very long time.

nonplussed Have a look at dougglos sentence and work out what the words (not meanings) have in common.
The delay of one minute in posts is there for security reasons (the site was under a spamming attack some time ago) and it has to remain in place (I cannot give more info )

tex123 and nonplussed : The random sentence in my post nr.15 is not meant to be a cryptic clue, but simply my attempt to point out what the overall link to this quiz is. Can I suggest that you merely look at each word separately and see what is the same IN EACH WORD !! That should help !

Really been thick but have had a dreadful year and that is my only excuse.

Thanks Itsme, although as yet I have still no inspiration. I shall keep mulling it over and come grovelling back for help later on!!
It is just so annoying when I can read Nevilles mind for 99 clues but not the 100th.

I have an answer but your clue (back) does not make any sense. prob me being thick. but will trundle on
