Thanks I have it now. Had that word before but not confident of it but now it makes sense.

Thanks, I think I'm slowly managing a few, think I may have worked out the theme too as I could only come up with one answer on the second of the 'E' clues......

It's a shame the clues are not divided though! Makes for much trickier solving! Lol!

Although I have quite a few I can't get started as I can't get C or Q. I assume Q is an anagram of qu to all Aztec but can't find any solutions. Hints most welcome please!

The 12-letter Q is one of the thematic (undefined)

Thank you Sudokulover and Jazzgirl. I now have the 12 letter C but I can't get in to the anagram solver and can't get the Q. Googling Universal Anagram Solver takes me to answerbank but I still can't find it there! I may give up soon!

It's a nice &lit type clue, actually - maybe I'll give this puzzle a go after all!

Having solved most of the letters, I am thinking of placing Q in the grid first, as it appears there is only one place they can fit ?
