Good morning, Rusty!
A lovely day here...blue sky, bright sunshine, and a fresh invigorating breeze.
A beneficial walk!
Yes, I might look into the English language book by Bill B.....
I am not so sure, though, about his views on Shakespeare?
I actually like Shakespeare...and probably would not appreciate Bill's acid humour when applied!
What is the poem that you mentioned?
I am just awaiting a friend's arrival and then, in a while (after a coffee or two, and a chat!), we are going out for lunch.
Should be good!
What time is Miss La Bamba collecting you?
Have a good time at the Pine Cone!

Good morning, Elle!
Lovely warm morning here.
I'm collecting L-B at 11.
Why not have a look at the reviews of Bill's book on Shakespeare, on Amazon?
That may help you decide if you'd like it or not?
Hope you enjoy your lunch!
The poem is "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost.
I just happened across an article stating it was "the most misunderstood poem in America", and thought, I'll have a go and see if I can fathom it!
I think I can... mostly!
There are several websites with articles etc on this one poem!
Dozens of videos on YouTube about it.
Now, I can't be doing with poetry, but I think I will try some more of Frost's work, to see where that leads me!

Hello Elle, Rusty and everyone!

No, I am not ill nor even busy, just having a break!

I envy your invigorating breeze! I am melting away here!
48C outside at the moment, and a very very hot breeze straight
from the Sahara!!!
Difficult to sleep at night as temps don't get lower than 24/25C !
Suppose to remain this way until Sunday or Monday at least!

I really hope it cools down, not only for me but for the Tour de France
riders, - I think it starts on the 6th July? I have not even looked at
the route yet, nor the teams!

How are you both?

Hi Chris,

Easier said than done! But two ceiling fans and one portable one
right next to me wherever I go do help a little!

Hope you are not thinking of going to Italy just yet? Mind you
it is less hot there than here!

We're giving Italy a miss this year - too depressed by all this Brexit nonsense....

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Ah, of course......yes, you had said that you were doing the driving to the Pine Cone...
I had forgotten!
I hope you and Miss L-B had a great time?
I am finally home again for the rest of the day......it was lovely to see my friend and to catch up with all the latest news in person.
And we had a very nice lunch!
Yes, a good idea to browse Amazon and see what further books of Bill B's appeal to me.....
And I will look up that poem by Robert Frost......you have sparked my curiosity now!
I must find out what has been happening with the tennis....?
Both at Eastbourne and Roehampton!
Have you been watching any of it?
Your son will be arriving to see you soon?

Hello, Pigale!
How lovely to "see" you!
I do not envy you your weather! I cannot possibly envisage such heat!
I wilt when the temperature reaches 24C!
It has been a pleasant day here..... glorious sunshine, but tempered with a pleasantly fresh breeze!
And yesterday, it was positively windy at Eastbourne, whilst the tennis was in play.
Our nights have been "heavy" though.
Yes, you will be looking forward to the Tour de France!

Hello, Chris!
It is unusual for you not to go to Italy......
Do you have other - exciting? - plans for a break this Summer?

Hi elle
Just short breaks in Britain - we've also decided that we hate airports too!
Also, my sister is very poorly in Devon (about 6 hours away), so we have been making the trip down there.
