Good morning, Malone!
I was wondering if the Malone Times presses were ready to roll!

That was my thought too, but the presses are - like you - a little rusty! It was a relief that the spam didn't get to hang around too long.

Ah! But I am not so little, Malone!
Anyway, Norah soon shifted the spam.
Not so long ago there could have been pages of the stuff.

The 'little rusty' was artistic licence! I'm sure you know that good surface readings are essential in life, as in crosswords.

PS Today's Times puzzle was a bit of a disappointment, no grappling needed.

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
How are things with you?
A pleasant day ahead, I think.
It is dullish at the moment, but some sunshine is promised later.
Mildish.
Number two builder has just been to assess the situation.
So hopefully, we should have received both estimates by the end of next week.
Maybe then there will soon be some light at the end of the tunnel.....
Yes, the cheaper versions of "The Devil's Dictionary" are all dispatched from the UK....I didn't search further.
World of Books has a good offer.
But the jury is still out on this.......
Any more news on Lassie this morning?

Hello, Malone!
Now, if I knew what a "surface reading" was, I'd probably agree with you!
Yes, the puzzle was on the easy side, I think.

Good morning, Elle!
A bit cloudy here but dry and mild.
I am not long home from the cemetery, and TESCO, and am going out with Miss LB later.
No other plans.
Are you contacting your helper today?
I have not heard anything on Lassie, but Laddie was on the nest this morning and some very noisy geese honking overhead.

Hi, Rusty!
The morning seems to have rushed by....
I expect by now that you are perhaps out with Miss L-B?
Yes, I did contact my "liaison lady" earlier, but she was with a client.
She has just phoned me back.
Put in a nutshell, it appears that we are not covered for the fault......so we have to pay for the plumbing repair ourselves.......but we ARE covered for any resulting damage....... so the Insurance company will pay for the ceiling repairs, for instance.
The Insurance cover also comes in two sections - "Home Emergency"...and then "Buildings Insurance".
These are underwritten by different Insurers, which has made it a tad confusing.
But I am hopefully abreast of the situation now!
I simply have to send my two estimates to the Building Insurance section.
My "helper" is going to phone me again next week, to check that all is going according to plan.
Fingers crossed for no more hiccoughs!

Hello, Elle!
Your repair claim seems reasonably straightforward.
And your helper seems to be "helping"!
Hopefully it will all go smoothly.
I had a nice outing with Miss L-B.
Been a nice day here!

Good evening, Rusty!
Well, so long as the repairs are soon effected, and we are back to normal, I shall be happy.
I am not so concerned about the monetary compensation, as the smooth running of the exercise.
This is a new experience for me, as I have never made an Insurance claim for damages before.
I am glad that you and Miss L-B enjoyed yourselves!
Has she finished her work placements now?
