Hello, Elle!
I think "fabulation" means to tell invented stories, and the word was popularised by Robert Scholes.
One of his works was "The Fabulators", apparently!
Confabulation is in all the dictionaries, I'd think.
Your parse of Hahn is faultless, I'd say.
I could not quite nail it.
The only Hahn I knew was Anna Marie, a dreadful woman who died in the electric chair in Ohio.
No, my son has just texted.
He is late home from work and won't be down this night.

Hi, Rusty!
It is a shame that your son cannot make it ........you will miss seeing him and having your chat!
Will he be able to come tomorrow, though, instead?
I suppose it will all depend on what time he will be finishing work?
I haven't heard from my daughter as yet.....it is very unlike her not to phone ......
There was a question on "Eggheads" this evening about "The Waltons"!
That was a strange coincidence , wasn't it ?
We were only talking about them the other day!

Hello, Elle!
My son always knocks off early on Fridays but I'll leave it up to him if he visits or not.
They may go out for their tea.
Why not 'phone your daughter?
I liked "The Waltons"!
Was the question answered correctly, do you know?

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I did text my daughter......but she always has her phone on Silent!
She may not have seen the message yet.
The "Waltons" question was along the lines of 'What TV family always said "Goodnight" to each other, at the end of the programme?'
And yes, the "Eggheads" knew the answer!
And so did I!
Have you spoken to Miss L-B?
How did her placement go today?

Hello, Elle!
Ah, yes, you would know the answer!
I liked "The Waltons"!
Miss La Bamba says her placement is "good".
So, that's a positive.
My Norn Iron friends will be here next Thurs to Sat, but unfortunately Miss L-B will be at Uni and won't be able to meet them at Pine Cone.
So they'll just have to put up with me!

Hi, Rusty!
I have just watched "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?"
Jeremy Clarkson hosts it very well!
The ground rules have changed?
There seems now to be a movable "safety net", as Jeremy calls it?
I think that when Judith took part, there were fixed "targets" at £1000, and possibly two other levels, although I cannot remember which?
Have you already watched it?
Or are you recording it?
The visually impaired competitor, Rachel, has been on "Eggheads".
You will be looking forward to your friends coming over, next week.

Hello, Elle!
No, I record the show and will watch it around lunchtime tomorrow.
That suits me best.
Yes, I like Jeremy, he has a bit of humour about him!
The format of the show has changed and it seems to work.
I like "ask the host"! Can be funny!
I'll just see my friends briefly next week and they won't have their young ones with them.

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
A lovely day today - sunshine and blue skies.... a bit nippy though.
Good walking weather.
This week seems to have gone past very quickly - nearly weekend already!
We are having a family celebration for YB's birthday on Sunday.
On his actual birthday, he went, if you remember, for a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine.
There are various sites, hosting a "Thomas", all over the UK , but the nearest one to us is in Tenterden, Kent, which is about fifty miles away.
I think there is one up your way...in Angus.
I am going to make a start on The Times Monthly this morning!
It takes most of the month to solve.......but I do learn a lot, which is good.
What are you up to, today?

Good morning, Elle!
Fine slightly frosty morning here.
I have heard of Tenterden!
I don't know of any Thomas the Tank Engines in Angus, but there could well be.
Not something I'd be looking for, or aware of!
But there is/was a model railway (I think that's what it is called) at Arbroath, Angus, for many, many years.
I have not came across The Times Monthly.
Just finished my puzzle.
I did not know that particular meaning of 25a !
Nicola Benedetti is on the front page of my Times today.
She was at the Palace yesterday collecting her CBE.
