Ive just watched one of our Blue Tit nest boxes empty of babies they were a bit hesitant at first but one by one they all flew into our Eucaliptus tree and the parents are busy feeding them extra mini mealworms, our resident Robin is on his second brood already

Who needs a TV, Doglet, when you can watch these kind of mini-dramas!
Let us hope they are all safe in their new home!

they are costing me a fortune in bird stuff but we have a lot of trees and the birds like the buffet I provide and I enjoy seeing them the Robin is so cheeky he sits on the top of the conservatory door so he is first in line,my crows still come and we have a family of Jackdaws and a rather tatty Rook In the winter we have other birds we dont see at all in Spring and Summer

How lovely to see, Doglet! I wish I'd been there!
I don't know how you find time to do all that you do!
How are the feral kittens getting on? Is Freddy coping with them?

It sounds very satisfying and pleasant to me, Doglet!
And you seem to really enjoy it!

Rusty,
I've just heard that one of the boys (the 4year old) has crashed their car into a lamppost! He climbed into the car when no one was looking (why ever wasn't it locked?) took off the handbrake , the car rolled down the drive , across the lane and into the lamppost.
Fortunately, he is all right, but the car is badly damaged.
I'm still shaking! He could have been killed! Just think if another car had been coming.....or he could have knocked someone down. It doesn't bear thinking about.....

Goodness!
You all will have had a shock!
I always leave my car in gear if I park on a hill.
Anyway, Elle, try and calm down.
Have a cuppa and count your blessings!
Your family is safe! No one got hurt.
A car is a lump of metal. Nothing more!
The worst did not happen!
Go on, put the kettle on!

Easier said than done, though, Rusty!! it's hard to be reassured that he is ok when we are a lot of miles away and cannot see for ourselves!
How on earth did it all happen? Why wasn't the car locked? Why weren't they watching him? Oh dear! ( I got a bit cross with them, because I was so worried......)
Just had my other daughter on the phone - she didn't know so had to tell her...
Still, as you say, at least our grandson IS ok, well, more or less apart from a few bumps and bruises. Who cares about the car? that doesn't matter.
Yes, kettle...need a cup of strong black coffee.....
