Hello, Elle!
My son's new holiday dates and bookings were arranged before they left Edinburgh Airport, last week.
They go next Friday.
The airline did it all for them, including rearranging hotel bookings etc.
They are not out of pocket.
I intend to do as you plan to, Elle, by dipping in and out of events which appeal to me.
I have So Yeon Ryu to follow at the golf, and Clasica San Sebastian bike race is on tomorrow, and there will be hurling on Sky, as well as the cycling in Glasgow.
Go you to BBC Sports section and click on athletics, that may "guide" you, or is there an athletics website or magazine you can look up?
I use the Cycling Weekly magazine website to keep up to date.

Hello again, Elle!
I tried to save the page with the schedules on but not at all sure will it work.
https://www.europeanchampionships.com/results/en/all-sports/competition-schedule.htm
I thought it was all taking place in Glasgow, but it looks as if there are events in Berlin, too?

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, I hadn't realised that your son's new holiday dates had already been organised at the time of postponement .
That was ultra efficient of the airline!
My daughter and family will just about be coming back, as your son and daughter-in -law are going there!
That Championships schedule is absolutely brilliant, Rusty!
(Yes, the link works!)
Well done on finding it!
I have saved it in "Favourites".
Thank you so much!
Yes, it does sound as though the events are spread over two venues, Glasgow and Berlin, doesn't it?
But I haven't fully investigated the link yet......
I have "saved" it and shall explore it properly tomorrow, then will earmark what I want to watch!
I am looking forward to the events, especially as I can now work out what to look for, when!
Thanks again!

Forgive my intruding but your local medical facilities seem way behind the times. Over the last 20 years I have been registered with four different GP surgeries in England and all of them did blood tests as a matter of course.

Yes, Kenyatta, that is exactly what I have been saying all afternoon!
I am in full agreement with you!
However, as a mere individual, I am powerless to alter the
system.
This system exists in large parts of South -east London and parts of Kent.
Quite how far out it extends, I cannot tell you.
I have lived her for forty years, and never known anything different !

Good morning, Elle!
Fine dry day here.
It was Easyjet who arranged everything.
So, where are the athletics taking place?
Glasgow or Berlin?
I am off out soon with two granddaughters, to Pine Cone.
Just finished my puzzle.
One or two whose parse escapes me just now.
But, I shall return....!

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
A lovely - but far too hot - day here!
We dragged ourselves around the park, carrying a large bottle of water - for us and for the dog!
She was the only one showing any energy!!
The Athletics seem to be taking place in Berlin.
I shall consult the schedule later and set the recorder for what I can for the entire week.
That is good that you and your granddaughters are off to the Pine Cone!
Miss O will not have a lot of holiday left?
When does school recommence?
I am just about to start my puzzle!

Hi, Rusty!
We are finally home again.....
We have been over at our daughter's house for most of the day, doing a few odd jobs for her, and keeping the cat company.
All is well there.
Did you have a good time at the Pine Cone this morning?
I finished my crossword, barring two parses......
4d: Rocket part made by South African with East German investment (7)
I have "booster" = "rocket part" (def)
Boer - South African ?
But couldn't go any further...have I got something wrong?
25a: One -time prisoner avoiding judgment in Prohibition (9)
"exclusion" = "prohibition" (def)
ex- one-time
con- prisoner
But then what?
And I didn't think the answer to 26a was correctly spelt?
Surely "ageism" is spelt with an "e"?
Chambers bears this out.
Right......time I organised dinner.....

Hello, Elle!
Was with four granddaughters to Pine Cone today!
School starts one week this coming Tuesday, though I understand the staff are in on Monday.
I watched the Ireland women's hockey team win their semi-final of the World Cup at Lee Valley.
They are in the final!
I did not know Ireland had a hockey team!
And Julian Alaphilippe won the Clasica San Sebastian.
So-Yeon Ryu is third so far at the golf. It ends tomorrow.
So a good day so far.
Katie Archibald is riding the European pursuit final later today.
Fingers crossed for her.
Not a bad puzzle today.
One I can't parse (if I have the correct answer!) 25a.

Hello, Elle,
Posts crossed!
You are fine with 4d, German for East is Ost.
I can not parse 25a either! Have "exclusion".
My Chambers has ageism and agism,
Take your pick!
