They couldn't find the house, didn't have my number with them etc etc. Do yu see the fire coming out of my ears???

I was so cross I went on a long walk!

You're welcome pigale. Last time I asked a married couple they cancelled too, though they had a good excuse. I think I will stop asking people.

Hi, Rusty!
I think perhaps my last post - quite a long one! - to you (post 18806) overlapped with yours to Pigale?
Look back and find it?
We are all suddenly being inspired to write at about the same time!
Is your son coming to visit you today........instead of yesterday?

Ros, you must be absolutely furious........
This is several times recently your expected guests have not arrived!
Just how rude can some people be....?
I know that unexpected illness can throw a spanner in the works........but not to telephone and apologise.....!
Grrrh!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, sorry, I did not see your post!
The important thing is to keep warm whether you are home, or outside.
My son has just left.
I had an idea he would be here to see me!
Miss O has just invited me for out for a bacon roll on Sunday morning!
I am home for the day now.
It is dry but quite cold out!
Just had the golf on from California.
Lovely weather there!

Hi
My walk was very cold and in places there was a high wind- and I realised I was walking between some pretty old trees. It did a lot of good, yes, thanks pigale.
They did ring and apologise about 6.
Maybe I forgot my deodorant?

Hi, Rusty!
No, problem, I thought you must have missed my post!
That is good that your son came to visit you - he will have been have telling you all about yesterday's salmon fishing?
I know that usually the fish are returned straight to the water....is there ever a time when a fisherman eats his catch?
We have a quiet weekend ahead of us ....our younger daughter and family are away......and our elder daughter and co are full of colds yet again.....!
We are hoping not to catch any more bugs......the family will wait till midweek to see if they become free from infection, before possibly coming to stay with us for a few days over the half -term week.
( We really do need to take care after our recent health setback!!)
Golf in California will make a nice change from the Winter Olympics!

Hello, Elle!
Most of the Scottish rivers are catch and release.
There may be an odd fish taken but it is frowned upon.
The stocks of Atlantic salmon are not healthy any more.
Catches are down on all the rivers.
Yes, you are best staying away from bugs.
I am sure your daughter will understand this.

Hi, Rusty!
There is a lot of coverage on both BBC 1 and 2 tomorrow for the Olympics.
I have just been studying the TV guide.
I have not really been watching the Games today.
I have caught up with some correspondence and done a lot of chores around the house.
All looks clean and tidy, so there is little to do over the weekend!
I hope we have some nicer weather than today.......so that we can get out and do some (serious) walking.
I missed my usual activity today.
It feels extremely cold right now.... I only opened the patio door briefly for the dog to go out.......but it feels freezing!

Hello, Elle!
There are just an awful lot of events to plan for.
My priority tomorrow is the curling, and at 10:00 the Short Track skating to cheer on Elise Christie.
She was very unlucky at Sochi.
Also the cross-country skiing.
Men's downhill is on Sunday.
It is quite cold here, too!

A Very good morning to you, Rusty!
We had a frosty early morning, though only on the cars........the rooftops and lawn appeared quite clear.
Still muddy ground!
I have had a late start this morning........I didn't awaken till 8 am - very late indeed for me!
I must have needed my sleep!
You were probably out for your paper by that time?
It will be time for the Short Track skating soon......
Brrrh! it feels very cold.......
