Good morning, Rusty!
Fine but cold here! 0C !
I have only been as far as the garden .....I am sticking to my present resolution of letting it warm up a little before going out with the dog for any pronged length of time.
No point in walking about in the damp morning air!
Later on, I am going to have my hair trimmed......
I shall take the dog out to the park on my return, about midday.
I have just listened to/watched Chooka...... I was reminded of the recent winning artiste, Tokyo?
What happened to him?
Yes, I remember Lettice....she certainly had plenty of personality!
But there was a furore about the BGT show on which she appeared being fixed...... or some such.....
I seem to remember reading some scandal about her and Simon Cowell, and its being a put -up job??

Good morning, Elle!
Fairly cold here.
We have had snow overnight.
Maybe 2 or 3 inches lying.
That was the forecast and it appears to be accurate!
Venturing out soon to get my paper.
I do not know about scandal involving Lettice?
And I follow the BGT news quite closely.
It is my favourite programme.
Decision time, here.
Will I drive to shop or walk?
Best just walk, I think.

Hi, Rusty!
Did you walk to Asda, in the end?
I hope the ground was not too slippery underfoot?
We are told to "expect" snow flurries, here, but there is no such sign , so far!
The sun is shining!
I think Lettice had been playing for Russian royalty or some such, before the BGT show?
And was well known to stars such as Olly Murs and Matt Cardle.........
I don't follow BGT closely though, so may not have this right?
I just remember a headline catching my eye........
Right, I am away to get organised....dog to garden first, then me to hairdressers......!
Catch up with you later......

Hello, Elle!
I cleared the snow from my car and then walked to the shop!
I think it is trying to thaw but will be cold later today.
The vast majority of the acts on BGT will have performed on stage before.
Many have performed for years before they got a chance of appearing on BGT.
Seems perfectly normal what Lettice did.
Newspapers inventing stories where there is none.
Lettice was a breath of fresh air I thought!
Just three sleeps to the Olympics!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I am finally home again......and this time plan to remain here for the rest of the day!
I am duly "trimmed" and looking very much tidier - the resemblance between me and my dog is now not so noticeable!
I came home very briefly, earlier, grabbed the dog and took her out.....whilst the sun still shone.......
It is a glorious day....but decidedly cold!
I enjoyed the fresh air, but am relieved to be home again, and gulping hot soup!
I am also enjoying a delicious piece of Christmas cake!
Is it really only "three sleeps" to the Olympics?
I am not all that keen, though, on the "Winter" edition!

Hello, Elle!
I am needing a haircut, I was told yesterday, by ASDA staff!
I'll wait until Spring, I think!
It is a lovely day here, and snow melting, but forecast says minus 5 overnight!
Yes, the Games start on Friday!
I am really looking forward to it, especially the Alpine events.
I am not sure what to expect regarding the runs and courses in Korea though, compared to the Alpine runs.
Does Korea have mountains, I wonder?

Hello, Pigale!
I emailed the loch about the nestcam and asked if they could show a view of the loch.
No reply, so far, but they are now showing a view of the loch.
The squirrelcam is working again, too!

Hello Elle and Rusty!

Yes Rusty, I can see a beautiful picture of the Loch now, and
the squirrel cam has been working (for me) all of yesterday as
well! The feeder is going down by the minute!

We are having snow, started last night around 9pm, don't know
what happened in the night, but a thin layer in garden (in patches)
this morning - and now it is still snowing, albeit a very very fine
snow - not real snow to my mind.

Nonetheless there are definitely large white patches and I don't think my cats like it too much! It must be cold on their pads?

They are threatening us with temps as low as minus 6C/8C next
week! I doubt I shall put my nose outside!

BTW, the 'they' refers to the met office people, not the cats!

Hi, Rusty!
It does seem a very long time since last you had your locks shorn!
You may well have to resort to a pony tail?
If the girls at Asda are commenting..........?
I am pleased that I went to get mine cut.........psychologically, I now feel much better!
Now, there are strange noises coming from next door..........
I think there are workmen "ripping out" God- knows- what!
A skip has appeared outside and is gradually filling up.........
Well.. we wanted signs of "activity"!
It seems we are finally getting it..........
I cannot see any signs though of the new owner?

Hello, Pigale!
I am sorry that you are having snow - albeit a thin, feeble version, it will still be a nuisance underfoot if it freezes!
Take care if you do go out!
