Hi, Rusty!
Oops!
I think I spoke too soon about the lovely day........the sky is clouding over and becoming heavy....
I hope we are not heading for a "wintry shower" ....
This seems to be a euphemism for a snow flurry!
Oh dear, I made short thrift of the Everyman this morning....I like it when it's more of a "tussle".........
.......with at least the odd parsing to mull over!!
I shall have a go at the Sunday Times puzzle later.
You sound to have a good potential plan for the day....I hope Lindsey does well and there are no more accidents, especially with the Olympics on the horizon.

Hi, Rusty!
I have been out very briefly with the dog...it is far too cold to linger!
Yes, it is attempting to snow.....but only vaguely in the air....
I think we might expect a more serious approach tomorrow, by all accounts!
We are doing some clearing up and reorganising now........
We have bought a lot of large plastic boxes in a Sale and are replanning the Storage cupboards!
It is giving us something to do and keeping us out of mischief!
How is your skiing going?

Good afternoon, Elle!
Still a great day here.
Not too cold, so far!
It is good to have a good clear out of unneeded "stuff"!
Skiing went as expected.
Win for Lindsey Vonn, Sofia Goggia second, and Tina Weirather third.
That's win number 81 for Vonn.
She is closing in on the all time record held by Ingemar Stenmark.
Stacey Cook USA crashed out.
Not sure how hurt she was when they removed her but her face was bleeding.
I am just going out for a walk before darkness falls.
So...in the words of the great Hank Williams,
"Goodbye Joe, me gotta go, me oh, mi oh,
Me gotta go pole the pirogue down the bayou....."

Hi, Rusty!
Brrrh! I think it's freezing!
I hope you enjoyed your walk?
I liked your Hank Williams quote.......
It went dark very early here.........but the threatened snow in the air came to naught........
We have snow flurries forecast for tomorrow, though.
I need to make plans for tomorrow for the dog.....
I am going to take her out myself, now that I am feeling better ....
But I have decided to do it slightly later in the day once the temperature has warmed up a little....
I can see no sense in going at 7.45am, when the temperature will only be a threatened minus 1C!
I shall go late morning............I shall ring my friend and tell her of my change of plan.
Your skiing sounded good.......Lindsey did very well!

Hello, Elle!
It's a fine night here.
No sign of snow or ice!
Lindsey did what Lindsey does best.
Came down the mountain superbly!
Hope she has a bit left for the Olympics.
She is not long back from injury, either.
If you walk briskly the temperature should not matter.
Gossiping in the park to your neighbours, in the cold, is not a good idea, though!

Hi, Rusty!
No, to my mind, it makes more sense to wait for the day to warm up a bit first...!
That is what I shall do ...for a few days at least....anyway!
I shall rehabilitate myself gradually!
No doubt by midweek, I shall be chafing at the bit to be back to "normal" and out bright and early!
No cousin to speak to tonight...she has texted but is staying over at her daughter's.
All are basically well up there, but there are the usual coughs and colds about!
I need to go on Amazon....and order some "new" books!
I have been enjoying my rereads ....but fancy some new territory to explore!
My Account is bare, though........

There are coughs and bugs everywhere!
I have been abrowsing on YouTube and found this young lady on America's Got Talent.
She has personality plus and talent to match!

Hi, Rusty!
What a very talented young lady!
And she says she taught herself to yodel just from listening to a tape?
Wow!
I find myself astounded by the sheer self -possession of these youngsters!
No, the only judge whom I recognised was Piers Morgan.... I didn't know either of the other two?
It is amazing what "gems" can be found on YouTube!

Hello, Elle!
The male judge who is not Piers Morgan, is David Hasselhoff, known as "The Hoff".
He is an American actor/showbiz type.
Young Taylor was very good, I thought.
And the audience loved her!
That clip was several years ago.
I agree about YouTube.
It is a treasure trove.
Last night I found a clip of Brenda Lee singing "Jambalaya", I think she was 12 years old.
Temperature is dropping here!
