Hello, Elle!
I have no viewpoint whatsoever on nursery rhymes.
I was stating the fact that with me, at home here, it is my forks and spoons that seem to disappear.
Nothing to do with any nursery rhyme!
I have a vague knowledge of nursery rhymes, no more, no less.

Hi, Rusty!
No problem!
I am not surprised that I got hold of the wrong end of the stick!
My brain is definitely not functioning at full power......
I am somewhat light-headed with lack of food and sleep!!
I am now convincing myself that tomorrow will be a better day!
I'm watching "Eggheads"....... that may stimulate a brain cell...... or two!

Hello, Elle!
Tomorrow is always a better day!
I was watching a game of tennis from St Petersburg earlier.
But, they are players unknown to me, probably not the top class players we see at Wimbledon, etc., but playing very well, for all that!
You should try and eat and keep up your strength, for when you go to find out what all the filming is about!
Puzzle quite good today, although I can not parse 13a, and 1a refers to "Old Roman" and there have been thousands of old Romans!
I have an answer but have no idea who this old Roman was!
I did not look him up.
We have a snow warning, but fingers crossed it won't reach here!

Hi, Rusty!
I really do not fancy any food......but I am drinking plenty of water...... so that is good?
Maybe tomorrow.....
I haven' t done the crosswords today, although I've just taken a look at the two clues you mentioned.
I am sorry but I have no idea as to the answer for 13a - let alone the parsing!
But I think 1a is cinnabar = mercuric sulphide ( a mineral)
Cinna - Old Roman; he was Julius Caesar's father-in- law
bar - watering hole.
Is that what you have ?
It feels very cold here and rain is forecast in the morning.
At least only the dog will be going out in it...... and she doesn't care!
My friend is very kindly taking her out again.
I do hope you won't have snow!

Hello, Elle!
Water will help, yes.
Yes, I have Cinnabar, but how are we to know Cinna is the Old Roman?
There were thousands of old Romans, surely.
Or, am I being picky?
13a, Is "redhead" but the parse is beyond me.
I shall give best to the setter, for it is a good puzzle!
That is very good of your friend taking your dog out!
I hope I do not have snow, too!

Hello, Cerasus!
Thank you for that!
May I echo Bozo's comments!
A Sherlock Holmes tale?
I know of the Hound of the Baskervilles and A Study in Scarlet, and that's it!
Anyway, thank you again, Cerasus!

Hi, Rusty!
Opps! I am sorry for the delay in replying.... but I was fast asleep!
I'm afraid that was inevitable, as I have had so little sleep at night.......
I cannot see a problem with cinnabar?
Cinna fits with the crossers? and is definitely an old Roman?
He is also know for being Julius Caesar's father-in -law.
I still do not understand 13a!
Now that I have at last woken up, I am , ironically , going to straight to my bed!
I am exhausted......
I must be up early tomorrow to get the dog organised for her walk!

Hello, Elle!
I see a problem with Cinna.
How are we to identify which old Roman the setter means, without crossers?
There are countless thousands of old Romans.
I have not heard of Cinna.
The bug will be tiring you out.
