Hi, Rusty!
Our daughter has been studying to become a Counsellor for several years at a college local to where she lives.
(Sorry, I thought I had already told you this........?)
This has been a one day a week course.
She now has two years of study remaining.
If she continues at the college, she will gain a Diploma.
If she switches to the University course and continues the course as a Master's Degree, she will end up with a much better qualification, thereby enabling her to have better career prospects.
A Master's degree follows on from the Bachelors.
It is many years now since our daughter did her first degree - a B.Sc in Computer Science.
If she succeeds in doing the Master's, she can go on to do a Ph.D., which she is hoping to do.
It will all depend whether she is accepted as a somewhat "mature" student!
I haven't bothered to plough through all that guff on the "Dear Setters" thread....too wearying for me by far!
I well remember all about Sophie Scholl though!
Yes, enjoy your haddock! I do not know what I fancy to eat!
