Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I have indeed heard of Nellie Melba.
Her real name is Helen Porter Mitchell, I think?
And, of course, she has a well-known dessert named after her -- "Peach Melba", as created by the chef of the Savoy back in whenever.
But that is the limit of my knowledge of her!
You will be learning a great deal more from your book.
It says a lot for the success of the Hudl that the tablets are still being sold, either as secondhand or refurbished, doesn't it?
Time for a coffee.....

Hello, Elle!
Anna Pavlova has a pudding named after her, too.
What I was reading was that Nellie Melba had a very small repertoire compared to other divas.
Yes, it appears the Hudls are still popular.
I am "watching" several more, just for curiosity.
Now this should interest you!
There is someone on AnswerBank posted about their Nokia phone!
It has given up the ghost after 17 years!
And they hope to get another Nokia and are asking for guidance about SIM cards etc.
Hope they get what they want.
There will be some on eBay I would imagine.

Hey, Rusty!
Yes, now you see that is why I was considering getting another Nokia 1100 whilst I had the chance....just in case my own phone "died" on me!
I shan't want a new "modern" phone , just the same old-fashioned version that I have now!
But I don't understand about the SIM card? why cannot this person transfer his/ her existing SIM to the new phone?

Hello, Elle!
There are loads of Nokia 1100's on eBay, but you have to be careful.
Some state they are in Glasgow, which is fine, but if you click on the seller's name, it states they are based in China.
I would avoid those sellers.
I think the person on AB is just asking for guidance.
I think there are 3 sizes of SIM cards, but my understanding is, they can be trimmed to fit.
Any phone shop would do this for them.
This person knows that Nokia are launching a "new" 'phone that was very popular quite a few years ago, and wondered if their SIM would fit.

Hi, Rusty!
Thank you very much for all this information.
I shall look at all the links tomorrow....
My computer screen is so dim now (night -time brightness still rules supreme!) that my eyes are hurting.
I do not want a touch screen phone.
I am still hooked on a button function...as shown on the new Nokia 3310, in that video clip you sent.
I shall "explore" the "old-fashioned" Nokia versions, as you call them, tomorrow!
Btw, it's raining!

Good morning, Rusty!
A wet and warm (ish) day!
So a very muddy dog to clean on my arrival home!
Now I have looked at the various phone offers that you kindly sent to me.
The completely new Nokia 3310 demonstrated on the video (by a very competent man) seems good value......but it has a camera and games facility that I do not require.
However, I am not ruling it out......
The various Nokia 1100 secondhand and refurbished models appeal to me more.......
I shall do some serious thinking.
Thank you again for all your efforts.
It is much appreciated!

Good morning, Elle!
Frosty morning again!
Though I have not been out yet.
Was waiting on my Argos delivery.
If you do decide to get a 'phone from eBay, make sure a charger is included.
Some only have 'phone and battery.
I hope you receive this post, as I am sending it via my brand new Chromebook!
Came an hour ago and I am just tuning it in to my preferences, for font size etc, etc.
I only had to enter my password and everything synced in to it from my tablet and 'phone.
It even installed Adblock without me asking!

Hi, Rusty!
You sound as though you have been having a very enjoyable morning, playing with your new Chromebook!
( And sending successful messages !)
I won't even ask how it is possible for everything to transfer so simply from your previous appliances!
I have Adblock on my desktop, of course, but no matter how often I installed it on my Hudl, it always managed to uninstall itself eventually!
I had intended to go down to the High Street to buy some cards, for our Wedding Anniversary, our son's 40th birthday, and the "special" family Christmas cards.
But it has been very wet...and I already had to dry out once after the early dog walk!
I decided shopping could wait till tomorrow......
Have you done the crossword?
Did you see that Miss O's favourite place is the answer to a clue?

Hello, Pigale!
Much warmer here today - you would like it!
I just thought that I would enquire how your search for a tablet is going?
It would be beneficial if you were able to buy one at a "bargain" price during Black Friday/ Cyber Monday.
Any luck?
