Hello, Elle!
I am content that "schwa" is correct.
"WA" could be Washington State, too, but what about "Australian"?
I think it has to be Western Australia.
I am not completely happy with it, but it sort of parses!
I never do Sudoku, too.
I am sure the lad will be vlogging the cryptics again next week.
He had the same shirt on again!
These geese are a mystery.
Some flocks/skeins (not sure of the correct term) fly North, and some fly South.
I think the Northern bound ones are heading to Montrose.
There are an estimated 80,000 migratory geese there just now.
Mainly pink-footed geese.
Must be good feeding there beside the Esks.
Montrose is roughly 30 miles up the coast from me
They reckon that one in five of the world population of pink-foots winter at Montrose.

Hey, Rusty!
Yes, I agree with you that "schwa" must be correct!
And I think your parsing makes as much sense as we are going to get!
We are perhaps being too finicky here?
I think there are a lot of collective nouns for geese... flock/ gaggle/ skein/ wedge........maybe there are even more?
Now, I know that some nouns apply to geese in flight and others on the ground.....
but apart from a "skein" definitely referring to "flight", I am unsure which of the others apply where?
I had no idea that there were so many migratory geese about!
I am going to make drinks...and maybe some potato cakes.....
Don't forget to alter your clocks tonight - such as need personal attention!

Hello, Elle!
A pity our vlogger did not tackle today's puzzle!
We could have his parse to consider!
But he probably won't do prize puzzles.
There are great "heaps" of geese flying overhead several times a day.
Nice to hear and see them!
I have changed two clocks, so far.
Miss La Bamba has just texted suggesting a bacon roll tomorrow!

Hi, Rusty!
I shall now be stuck for ever with a vision of great "heaps" of flying geese!
A bacon roll at the Pine cone tomorrow sounds good!
You had best ensure, though, that you and Miss La Bamba have synchronised your watches!
Only once did we ever forget to adjust the clocks.....
We were meant to view a flat to rent, to live in once we were married.......
We turned up at the wrong time, having forgotten to alter clocks and watches.........and didn't get the flat.........
I think the owner letting it out, didn't think we would be suitable tenants........
I am sure he had us tagged as "unreliable"!
(Fortunately, we found a much nicer flat!)
Very cold out...just been in the garden with the dog!

Hello, Elle!
I do not think the young ones bother with watches.
They have clocks in their mobile 'phones, and they change automatically.
Miss La Bamba is dependable.
Be nice seeing her!

A Very good morning to you , Rusty!
Dreich here.....
It was nice though getting up at 6am and finding it light (ish) outside!
Definitely, literally, brightened my day!
I was impressed to find that our Volvo altered its clock all by itself!
What time is Miss L-B collecting you for your bacon roll and chat?
Now, down to coffee, apple , cheese and the Everyman........

Good morning, Elle!
Glorious morning here!
Well, I have changed all my time-pieces.
The clock in the Jazz, I had to do myself, and it was different to what the manual said, but perfectly straightforward.
Very pleased with me, I am!
The young one is calling for me at 11, not sure if Miss O will be with her.

Hi rusty
in my Jazz, I press and hold down the "musical note" button until I hear the beep, then use the H (hour) button to adjust the time

Hi, Rusty!
I wish we had some of your sunshine...it is really dismal here.
Well done on sorting your car clock!
I have finished the Everyman!
All fully parsed too!
That is very disappointing!
I was expecting to struggle on for a while, as the puzzle had been much harder for the last couple of weeks!
I prefer it when I have to make more effort!
A good puzzle though.
I hope you enjoy your morning with your grandaughter(s)!

Hello, Jazzgirl,
My button had "clock" printed below the button.
(Different to the manual, though)
Then the H (hour) button.
Very straightforward!
