Yes, it's a long flight from the US.......no wonder Miss O was tired.
9C sounds very cold, compared to our temperatures here!
One or two brave souls were out walking without coats/jackets this morning.
I didn't leave mine behind as I am very untrusting!
(Is there a difference between untrust, mistrust and distrust? Perhaps I should check in Chambers)
Most of your friends live 'higher up' in Ireland though, don't they?
Our son -in -law's family lives near Cork.
I hope you and your granddaughter enjoy your trip out.

I would say "distrusting" but that does not mean it is correct.
One of my Belfast pals has been in touch.
She is manager of a group of workers.
Her boss has told her to let the staff go home early.
Sounds sensible.
The wind is picking up in the North now.
Mind you, Donegal is always very windy!

My daughter has just phoned in her lunch hour, so we have had a good chat!
Seemingly, YB enjoyed the birthday party that he attended yesterday!
She has gone off now to buy some lunch.
She was crossing Tower Bridge when she phoned.
She works near St Katherine's Dock, so a very picturesque part of London.
Now..... Chambers gives "untrust" and "mistrust" as both meaning "distrust", so I am concluding that all three are interchangeable?
I wonder why have three such similar words then?

I probably have mentioned St Katharine's Docks before........
It is very near to the Tower of London, which is my favourite "tourist" attraction.
Quite often, I will meet my daughter at St Katharine's Docks, for lunch.
It is a very attractive location.
On occasions, we have taken the boys there.
They love it , as there is a Marina there ........and they find the boats fascinating.
The Queen has her Jubilee Barge moored there.
Very spectacular!
Waterford is where our son -in -law has family.
I wonder if he is aware of how severe are the weather conditions there.
I hope the storm doesn't reach you, in Dundee.
Or at least that it has quietened down by the time it reaches Scotland.
My family are around Glasgow and Edinburgh.

I mind fine about St Katherine's Docks now.
You mentioned it to me before.
It is raining hard here, but not too windy.
The wind will arrive here overnight.
I am sure your son-in-law will know about the Irish weather.
It is bad over there.
My friends in the North are visiting their older relatives and making sure they have torches and candles!
Just in case!
Then, home for the night!
I think SE England will miss out on the weather, you will be pleased to know!

Oh my goodness, I am not so sure about the storm's missing us.......
We have just experienced the most weird phenomenon!
The sun turned bright red...and then disappeared.....then a haze of dark yellow cloud hove over everywhere from the West.......
All is now in darkness almost as though it is the middle of the night.......
Needless to say, we have the lights blazing indoors.....
My husband is out with the camera, but whether anything will have been recorded , I do not know....
Is this the storm...?
Or maybe we are being invaded by aliens?
