Hello, Elle!
That sounds fine from Amazon.
No, I have no sport to watch.
I was listening to Willie Mullins getting interviewed earlier and he was saying the waitress on the aeroplane bringing him over from Ireland this morning, managed to spill his breakfast all over his lap!
Poor Willie! Poor waitress!
No sport for me this evening.
I have a birthday card to write than I'll have a browse on YouTube.

Hi, Rusty!
Goodness! Your mentioning needing to write a card has reminded me that I should have bought a Wedding Anniversary card for friends.
Whatever I do now, it will not reach them until at least Tuesday..........
We have no further postal collection now until Monday teatime.
How could I forget? oh dear!
Our daughter had made plans to see us tomorrow, but we have been stood up!
YB has a birthday party to attend tomorrow afternoon!
What a busy social life he leads at eighteen months old!
Still, a quiet day will not go amiss........ we can relax!
Walk the dog, read the Sunday papers (do the Everyman......)
You are away out to the Pine Cone again, aren't you?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, La Bamba is 20 on Tuesday!
Miss O has WhatsApped me some photos.
One of her at the end of Route 66 in Santa Monica.
And ones at Beverly Hills and Hollywood.
They are smashing pics!
And she wants to meet me during the week.
She flies home tonight.
Yes, I am for the Pine Cone again tomorrow.
Your Sunday sounds fine.
I do not get a Sunday paper.
I can do the Sunday Times puzzle online if I want, though.

Good evening Elle and Rusty,

Hope you are both OK -- Beautiful weather here!

Elle, have you heard of ecards?

Google 'ecards wedding anniversary wishes' and you can
choose the one you like and email it. (I think it is free, but not
sure)

Worth a try?

Good evening, Pigale!
Nice to hear from you!
You are lucky with your weather!
A bit chilly here!

A Very good morning to you, Rusty!
It is an absolutely beautiful day here!
We had rain overnight, so the ground is somewhat damp.......but the sky is blue and the sun is shining!
No walk though until early afternoon today!
Miss Bamba is 20 on Tuesday?
Goodness, it doesn't seem five minutes since she was "sweet sixteen"!
(as the Neil Sedaka song goes.......)
I am about to have coffee....and an apple .......and print off my crossword.....
I hope you enjoy your trip to the Pine Cone!

Hello, Pigale!
I have just read your message. It is lovely to hear from you!
Yes, I have heard of ecards !
It is an excellent idea, and I have used it previously when sending cards for birthdays overseas.
But I don't think the concept would go down well in my present predicament!
I am going to trust that the recipients will blame the card's late arrival on the Royal Mail!

Good morning, Elle!
Plan B!
La Bamba and me are going to Pine Cone tomorrow instead of today.
She is on holiday then.
(I'll have to check it is open tomorrow. Used to be closed on Mondays)
Yes 20 on Tuesday. (I checked with her Dad on Thursday)
I am not good with the young ones ages!
Anne Bradford has "sixteen" listed under "sweet"!
It is a fine day here, too, and Miss O is somewhere over the Atlantic!
Now, excuse me for poking my nose in, but I think Pigale's idea of an e-card is an excellent one.
Good luck with your chosen puzzle!

Hi, Rusty!
Your "nose" is very welcome, Rusty.......but my friends are completely the wrong generation for an e-card!
I do not think that they even have a computer!
They certainly don't have a modern enough phone to contend with such an intrusion!
And the "etiquette" of sending such a time-saving thing would upset them even if they were able to receive it!
No....I shall hope that they will lay the blame on the postal delivery!
It is a shame that your arrangements have been postponed...but now you have tomorrow to which to look forward.
(I'm doing a "Pollyanna" here!)
Maybe you can find a pleasant alternative, should the Pine Cone be closed tomorrow?
I can't make a start on the crossword.....being very dim.......oh dear.....

Hello, Elle!
Yes, it seems your friends would prefer a proper card!
Och, we'll worry about Pine Cone tomorrow.
There are alternatives!
Now, the solution to your puzzle is to put it away, do something else, and when you return it will let you see it with refreshed eyes!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, you were quite right...
Good advice!
I wandered off...... and then duly returned to the puzzle.
All done now - and fully parsed!
I did think it somewhat harder though, today, but I was glad of that and enjoyed it all the more!
I wonder, am I alone in thinking it more difficult?
Possibly other solvers found it easy!
It is very quiet here...only myself and the dog are awake!
My husband and the cat are both still in "The Land of Nod"!
Apart from meaning "asleep", and being a Biblical reference in Genesis, where Cain was exiled after killing Abel, .......this apparently is also a computer company!
