Update, Rusty!
As I just said to JG, after belatedly reading her post....
I think we may have been looking for too great a depth to 20d?
What do you think?

hi Elle
It does not seem to be an &lit, as there is a def. and a wordplay. Off to do some more mowing.........

Hello, Elle!
I suppose if each is a genus, "genera" is perfectly correct.
I did not know Vanessa was a tree, too.
Now the other thing I shall ask about (because it is a bit above my head) is, both Prunella and Vanessa begin with capital letters.
Is this another way of indicating they are genera?
PS. I have not the faintest idea of "&lits", I'm afraid.

Thank you kindly, Jazzgirl!
So, the genus always begins with a capital, eh!
I did wonder if that was the case.
So, I now think it was a good clue, after all!

Hello, Elle!
What do I think?
I think I have done enough learning for today, is what I think.
I went on YouTube to learn about genus/genera and clicked on a video and it was about "The Taxonomic Hierarchy"!
So, I decided it was not for me and logged out!

If you look up a species on Wikipedia, it generally (?always) gives the full hierarchy of classification in the box on the right. See the Prunella example:
