Hello, Elle!
Quite a co-incidence!
Darci was very good indeed!
And it was refreshing to see a ventriloquist win a talent contest.
I've always thought the Everyman was a bit easy.
Years since I tackled it.
The Sunday Times should be a better challenge, though.

Hi, Rusty!
But I like the Everyman the best of all the crosswords that I have tackled......
I think I have tried explaining this to you before.....?
There is something about the puzzle that strongly appeals to me.......
Maybe because every single part of the clue is required for the answer?
Is that making sense to you?
I should just like the setter (s) to make it a little harder, but along the same lines.
For a time, this did indeed happen, but there were a lot of complaints and it went back to the same (easier)standard.
But I do enjoy the general principle of it!
I get such a feeling of satisfaction from doing it!
Right....my cousin will be phoning soon.......(her turn , I think)
I'll go and quickly make a coffee before she rings!

Hello, Elle,
I think we all have our favourite puzzles.
I used to do my local paper puzzle, Guardian, and The Times.
Now it's just The Times puzzle for me.
I am meant to be getting heavy rain tomorrow!

A cagoule and wellies...... and muddy dog...... day!
How are you feeling now?
Would it be a good idea to bring forward your GP appointment?
I need to sort out the cat's Insurance......after I've had a coffee!

Good morning, Elle!
Snap!
Very wet here, too!
No, I'll leave the GP in peace until my appointment.
Give my medication time to do its job.
I can always get a same-day appointment if need be.
A bit wet for a walk today, and no new reading material to pass the time!

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, sorry....it wasn't clear that the medication to which you previously referred, was for your present disability/ bug !
Or else I didn't read your message properly (that could well be it!)
Yes, you will need to give the tablets time to work!
I have discovered a book on my shelves that I have no recollection of reading before....I may well have bought it, amongst others, and then overlooked it!
This hopefully will help tide me over whilst I browse ( and order from) Amazon!
I do regret our one time decent library closing!
But you've got several crossword books....can you not do some of those puzzles to fill in time whilst it is so wet?

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Right........update!
I have ordered five books from Amazon.
Excellent bargains and all in very good condition!
I am looking forward to receiving them in due course.
It will be like Christmas!
Now.......the rain has stopped , although everywhere looks dank and miserable......
However, this has never stopped me before, so I am away out with the dog!
The fresh air and exercise will do me good!

Five books!
No messing about when you get going!
I may have a browse on Amazon, too.
Rain has stopped here, too.
It is trying to brighten up.
