Hi, Rusty!
I hope you enjoy your walk.......
The sun has come out here, too, now.
You have done your puzzle early.
I got embroiled in chatting........so haven't even looked at the crosswords yet.
It is my eldest grandson's birthday today, so I was ringing him up to wish him a happy day!
Ten years old!
Where do the years go?
Are you playing chauffeur to Miss La Bamba today, if her car is out of action?
Oops... my husband wants me to move......he is putting the printer back in place to see if it will now work......I don't know what he "done" to it!
Fingers crossed though......

Hi, Rusty!
I had expected that you might be needed in transporting your granddaughter about!
She is lucky to have you around.
I have just had another talk with my grandson...he wanted to tell me that he is now having a friend staying tonight, in the lead up to his birthday party tomorrow.
This is apparently a computer party held on a double-decker bus.......
Have you heard of this set up?
He tells me these parties are all the rage!
Said bus parks on one's drive!
I'm not sure what happens if there isn't a drive or forecourt?
I wonder would one be allowed to have it parked in the street?
I would suspect not?
( I have never even heard of a "computer party"....... let alone one on a bus!)
He is going to phone me again tomorrow, after the event, to tell me all about it!
I shall look forward to that!
Jumbo GK very straightforward - nothing strange or startling.
How is the cycling going?
Just popping out with the dog.......

Hello, Elle!
I have heard of "bus parties", but in NI.
My friends' daughters have had them.
The cycling was excellent.
Huge crowds. The Norwegians are very enthusiastic bike fans.
The race was won by Chantal Blaak, of Holland.
The Dutch girls dominated the race.
I really liked the look of Bergen!
Very clean looking place and had attractive houses.
I have Peter Sagan to support tomorrow!

Yes, rusty, Bergen is a lovely city. It has a wonderful Folk Museum, rather like the one at St. Fagans, near Cardiff, but considerably pre-dating that one.

Yes, Chris, I was really taken by Bergen.
I had it in my head it would be a bleak ice-bound place but it is very attractive, I think.
Lots of colourful houses, too, in a very scenic setting.

Hi, Rusty!
I had never heard of bus parties before this one that my grandson is having.........
The bus is designed for playing computer games.
Are all bus parties thus 'themed', do you know?
What have your friends in Norn Iron said about them?
I shall get a report back tomorrow!
It is a big plus when there is great scenery to watch as well as the cycling!
I do not know much about Norway.....
Fjords and mountains?
I wish I had some sport to watch!
Still no word from either my snail mail, or my email to the CEO of EuroSport Player.
I guess "silence" is their way of dealing with the situation?
No more Athletics on the cards now anyway....but there should still be some tennis....
I shall definitely not be renewing my subscription!

Hello, Elle,
My friends never mentioned "computers".
As far as I recall, it was a disco on the bus.
Adults were not allowed on!
The young ones really liked it.
There is a tennis tournament in St Petersburg just now.
I saw a clip of Jo Konta on EuroSport.
The EuroPlayer folk are a dead loss.
The quicker you escape them the better.

Hi, Rusty!
I wonder if one just hires the bus, and then specifies what kind of function one wants to hold?
Or whether one hires a specific type of bus, already appropriately kitted out?
I shall ask my daughter tomorrow!
A disco sounds like fun!
I am not so sure about computer games!
But my grandson will think that is wonderful!
BB is already asking for a football party.........but he will have a long time to wait yet, as his birthday is not until January.
Haven't parties changed?
I remember my own children playing pass the parcel and musical chairs / bumps!
Far less sophisticated, than nowadays!
