Hello, Elle!
"Gauleiter" is an unusual word to have in a crossword.
Wonder how that came into the setter's head?
You are not dim at all.
But you are fairly new to cryptics and you can hold your own with The Times setters so that is good progress you have made!
You seem to have a busy day tomorrow.
I read a little bit about this lad Marx who is buried at Highgate Cemetery.
Apparently he had dreadful boils in various parts of his body and they caused him depression which the experts say influenced his writings.
One doctor prescribed arsenic to alleviate them, but nothing worked.
Poor man!

Good morning, Rusty!
It is a lovely morning here, and a little warmer than of late.
A pleasant walk.
Time shortly to "hunt" the cat and persuade him to go into the carrier!
He will not like it!
Strangely , the dog is always quite happy to go to the vets.......but the cat hates it!
By the time we arrive home again, our daughter and grandson should be here.
We are looking forward to seeing them!
I need a coffee though, before doing anything else............

Good morning, Elle!
Dull and a tad chilly up here today.
Hope all goes well for you at the vet.
And enjoy your lunch with your family.
I am going to watch America's Got Talent to see what like.
I am not sure I will like it!

Hello, Elle!
An update on America's Got Talent!
Some good acts on it.
Great magician/mindreader on it.
A very entertaining dog act, with about 8 dogs in a Winter Wonderland.
And then Kechi came on.
The reason I like these shows is that you never know who or what will walk on stage.
Like Amira in Holland, for instance.
Kechi is a young girl singer.
She survived a plane crash a few years ago in Nigeria and has had in excess of 75 operations and is very disfigured.
She is a fine singer and I do not usually take to singers, but I took to Kechi.
I do not know if she is good enough to win but I liked her.
You would need to have a heart of stone not to take to Kechi.
If you type "Kechi, Magic Moments" into Google Search Box you can see her in the semi-final.

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Home again!
We had a delicious lunch at the Toby Carvery.
Daughter had an App giving 30% discount - so that was even better!
YB wields his fork with great aplomb, considering he is only 18 months old.
They have left now to collect BB from school.
Now.......I have just listened to Kechi......
Yes, she really is great...a wonderful voice and so brave to have undergone so much surgery, and come out on top as she has.
This is the first time I have watched an artist on America's GT.
It is drizzling now, but still very mild (comparatively) today.
No crosswords to do, as I cannot print them out!

Hello, Elle!
It is not warm here!
Well done, your daughter and her App!
Glad you enjoyed your dinner.
Kechi is very good, no forced notes.
Funnily enough, she reminded me of Meatloaf.
Just the song.
And yes, very brave, and she has a wonderful Mum, too.
I thought Tyra was very good with her, hugging her close.
I prefer the BGT panel, though.
There is another semi tonight.
I hope to see young Darci, the ventriloquist, on it.
You shall have to splash out on a printer!
I am sure Curry's has a huge selection for you!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I think BGT's judges work very well together as a team.
I was pleasantly surprised when I first saw them in action.
David Walliams can be quite charming and his mild micky-taking of Simon works well.
Simon is astonishing well- behaved and "nice" , and Amanda is 'just Amanda'.
Alesha is gorgeous!
As with "The Voice; UK", I think the panel plays a big part in the success of the show.
I have finished reading my Robin Pilcher omnibus.
Funnily enough, the second book "Starting Over", is set in Dundee.
There is talk of the Forth Bridge.......among other familiar references...... and even use of the word "dreich"!

Hello, Elle!
I like David Walliams, and Amanda and Alesha are much better than Mel B and Heidi Klum, in my opinion.
And I like Ant and Dec better than Tyra Banks!
"Dreich" is a much used word in Dundee...like right now!
Raining here, and it appears to be on for the night.
Just watched the World Cycling Championships.
A win for Tom Dumoulin.
I had a quick look at printers in Curry's.
There is a huge choice, and there are ten different ones for less than £40.
Go for it!

Hi, Rusty!
Our "drizzle" was short-lived.......but it is very dull and cloudy now.
Still fairly warm though on my last trip into the garden.
A change from the beginning of the week, when we needed our central heating on!
Yes, we may yet need to buy another printer...our last one came from Currys.
It is encouraging to hear that there are still reasonably inexpensive models available !
My husband has not yet given up though........he likes "tinkering"!
I am half listening to Eggheads........
The challengers did not know how many sixpences there were in a pound!
I must try to catch up with some recordings tonight.
Otherwise I shall end up deleting them without watching!

Hello, Elle!
Let your husband "tinker" away then, and as a last resort there is always Curry's!
The reviews are good on the cheaper models, too.
Still rain here.
I have a picture from the Loch again.
They are not very communicative folk, these rangers, compared to other sites.
I would have got the sixpences one!
