Hi, Rusty!
"English" is becoming somewhat "foreign" from how I was taught at school!
I know that language is constantly evolving, but there are times when I would "draw the line" maybe in a different place!
Nina is doing well!
Another win!
Child birth obviously agrees with her!
Is Miss L-B still working at the hospital?
I am shortly going to watch Eggheads.
Then later it will be "Cold Feet".
I do enjoy that!
That is my evening viewing!

Hello, Elle!
Nina is doing very well. Two rides, two wins!
She must trust young Ted with Rosie!
Yes, Miss La Bamba is still at hospital.
They have extended her contract by 3 months, so that's fine.
Miss O has just texted to me to invite me out on Sunday morning!
Now, it is the Women's Road Race at the World's tomorrow.
Lizzie leads Team GB, but it is just 4 weeks since her appendix removal operation, so I can't see her winning.
I'll cheer on Elinor Barker instead, I think.
It will be very hard to beat the Dutch girls, in particular, though.
I have my new Mike Tomkies book to read, and will have a look at YouTube later.

Hi, Rusty!
I have seen notices advertising the South of England Road Relays at Crystal Palace Park this coming Sunday.
I am not sure what these are?
I have tried Googling the event, but have not come up with any enlightening information?
Have you heard of this?
I am assuming it is a running event?
How nice to be invited out on Sunday morning!
Will you go to the Pine Cone?
What was the name of that other place you liked?
The one where you got fifteen rashers of bacon on your roll?
You haven't mentioned it for a while.........
There is a big cow on top!
Your mentioning Mike Tomkies has reminded me to check out that Mrs Mike sequel that I want to order......... see if I can find a cheaper version........

Hello, Elle!
I have no idea about the Road Relays, Elle.
Sounds like running, though. Club event ?
There is tennis on EuroSport from St Petersburg.
That cafe is the Horn.
Yes, there is a large cow on the roof!
We prefer Pine Cone.
It is not as far, and off the beaten track, and suits us fine.
Have a look on eBay for your book; they are often cheaper there.

Hi, Rusty!
I have just been watching "Cold Feet".
I did have a quick look on ebay for "The Search for Joyful", but the book was even more expensive there than it was on Amazon.
And in any case, I do not think I can justify 'spending money', when I have 'vouchers' in my Amazon account.
I shall persevere......I'm sure a bargain will appear at some point!
I have discovered a third book in the series about Mrs. Mike - an addition to the one about Oh Be Joyful's daughter - called "Kathy Little Bird", so maybe I can find an omnibus of books two and three.
That would be good.
How are you getting on with your new Mike Tomkies book?

Hello, Elle!
Kathy Little Bird rings a wee bell with me.
I wonder if you can set up a "search" on Amazon?
I do on eBay.
They email me every day with the stuff that has just been posted on the site.
Mike's new book is great.
He has visited "Camusfearna" where Gavin Maxwell lived.
The house has been burned to the ground.
I think there is a plaque there to the memory of Edal and Mijbil.
Now he has found an old shed to live in, on the shores of a sea loch.
Miles from the nearest folk, no roads etc.
No electric, running water, or anything, and a dead sheep in the corner.
I have just started it.
I was on YouTube.
Found one of my favourite songs on it, that I had forgotten about.
"The Ketchup Song".
Must be about 15 years old, now.

Hi, Rusty!
It is good that you are enjoying your new book.
Ah, now I know of Gavin Maxwell and "Ring of Bright Water".
Mijbil was the otter that he brought back from Iraq ,wasn't it, and raised it in Scotland?
I have the book somewhere.......but it is a very long time since I read it.
I remember there being a film , too.
It starred Bill Travers and Virginia McKenna (who were also in "Born Free"; the story about Elsa)
I have never heard of "The Ketchup Song"?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, the "Ring of Bright Water" was at "Camusfearna".
Yes, if I remember correctly Mijbil came from Iraq.
From the Marsh Arabs.
I liked the book, but was not very keen on Maxwell.
I liked Bill and Virginia!
You have never heard of the Ketchup Song?
Goodness, Elle!
It was quite popular a few years ago, especially in discos etc.
I have granddaughters who dance to it (well they try!)
See it on YouTube, the Spanglish version is best.
It is good fun!

A Very good morning to you, Rusty!
We are just home from our walk.
It is a trifle damp this morning!
Still on the mild side though.
I prefer cold and dry!
I think Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers were married to each other in "real life"?
I have looked at "The Ketchup song" on Youtube........no, I have never come across that before!
It seems to involve some hand jiving?
Right....coffee, apple and cheese are next on my agenda.......then the crossword......

Good morning, Elle!
Very sunny here.
I am going out soon for a dander.
I did not know that about Virginia and Bill.
Yes, the "Ketchup Song" is good fun.
My young ones love it!
I gave up trying to learn the lyrics a long time ago!
I have finished my puzzle.
I like today's setter, though I have a parse or two to fathom properly.
