Hi, Rusty!
There was a further question on Eggheads that you would have easily got , too!
In fact, it could have been tailor made for you considering your interest in the First World War.
Where did the Battle of Passchendaele take place?
Spain, Belgium or Russia.
I'm not expecting you even to bother answering that!!
In fact, I thought tonight's Eggheads quite an easy run.
My daughter has just informed me that shops can refuse to accept all "old" one pound coins from the 15th October.
Banks and Post Offices though will continue to accept them for longer.
I am now going to watch last night's episode of "Doctor Foster..........

The anniversary of the Battle of Loos.
Our beacon on the Law will be lit and there will be services, too.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I remember your telling me about your beacon at the Law memorial.
I saw photos of the memorial......it looks most impressive.
Where is the flame? Is it lit at the top of the memorial?
It is quite near to you, isn't it?
Will you attend one of the services?
I have just watched the latest episode of "Dr Foster".......
I enjoyed the previous series, but I am not sure that I like where this one is going.
It is becoming very "dark".....not really to my liking......

Hello, Elle!
The flame is at the top of the memorial.
It is not far from me, but uphill all the way.
It is on top of a volcano and can be seen for miles around.
No, I will not go to a service.
I shall wear my poppy though, that day.
The late Queen Mother's brother, Fergus, was killed at the Battle of Loos.
He was in the Black Watch.
Well, I wonder how Darci is getting on in AGT?
I am looking forward to seeing her again!

Hi, Rusty!
Darci is the young girl ventriloquist , isn't she?
I thought her very good, when I watched her on Youtube.
I forgot to mention that the vet was well pleased with my cat this morning!
She thinks he is making good progress.
He had another antibiotic and steroid injection today, and goes back in a fortnight for repeat blood tests.
He is eating well now and seemingly back to normal.
Fingers crossed .....

Hello, Elle,
Very good news about your cat.
Let's hope for continued progress
Yes, Darci Lynne from Oklahoma is the young ventriloquist.
She is 12 years old and very good!
I'll watch her tomorrow.
There is a great dance troupe from the Ukraine called Light Balance, too.
Very visual!
The channel I have found it on is truTV and it has too many commercial breaks.
Quite annoying, but I fast forward through them.

Good morning, Rusty!
Another fine and warmish day!
Goodness me, I had to scroll down a long way to find your message!
"Prosales" is very "garrulous" !
I wonder what is with this latest fad of inserting the scams between other messages on different threads?
Do you suppose that he/she thinks that someone might actually read the rubbish?
I am sure that Norah will remove it soon.
I forgot to buy a paper earlier (still no functioning printer!) .......

Hi, Rusty!
Do a swap?
I'll send you some of our sunshine...... if I can have a piece of your gingerbread?
I love gingerbread / gingercake....especially parkin, but this last is not something we can buy down here.
I haven't had "genuine" parkin for many a year!
I have finished the 15 x15.
I especially liked 4d, 12a and 18d as appealing most to me.
Have you done your puzzle yet?
