Hi, Rusty!
Oh dear, I am sorry abut your filling.
Will your dentist be able to deal with it there and then?
Or will you have to make a second appointment to go back and see her, should she confirm this?
(What were you eating this time?)
Now who is "Monkman"?
I have never heard of him?
A university student, presumably?
Why is he on Youtube?
I do not watch University Challenge, as I cannot stand Jeremy Paxman!
He is so supercilious !
Goodness, I need a coffee.......

Good morning, Elle!
Fine day here.
Hopefully my dentist can repair the tooth today.
Fingers crossed!
I came across an article about Eric Monkman, and decided to find out a bit about him, and see him in action on YouTube!
He is a Canadian student known for his facial expressions and vast knowledge, on the the TV show, University Challenge.
He attended Cambridge Uni...but his team lost the final round.
There is another Cambridge student who is pretty awesome too.
He is called Bobby Seagull. I like the name!
I am not a fan of Paxman, too.
I've remembered another Tongan word... "tolu". It means "three".
Good luck with today's puzzles!

A Very good morning to you, Rusty!
A dullish day, warm and humid, here.
Very wet grass, resulting in very poggy dog!
Yes, let's hope that your dentist can fix your tooth there and then.
What time is your appointment?
I am just grabbing a quick coffee, and eating my apple and cheese before I go out to have my hair cut.
I need to buy a plant whilst out, to take to the crematorium tomorrow.
Catch up with you later........

Hello, Elle!
My tooth has been mended.
No charge, as the previous repair was less than a year ago.
So, that was fine!
My dentist was at Norway on a cycling holiday with her husband.
Sounded great!
Hope you find a nice plant!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I am home again now.
My hair is half an inch shorter!
Your dentist dealt with your tooth very quickly - that is good!
And nothing to pay, either!
I have printed out the crosswords sent by John...and will now take a look....
Have you done yours yet?
What is the 15 x15 like today?
I do hope I am not as dense as yesterday!

Hello, Elle!
Well done on your trim!
Yes, I have a fine dentist. An Iraqi lady.
My repair took her less than five minutes to do.
Yes, I have finished my puzzle, but shall bid you caution, Elle.
I suspect there is an error in the clue 16a.
I think it is meant to be an anagram, but it aint!
Perhaps Malone can give his view on it?
Other than that it is a good puzzle.
1d was a new meaning for me.
12a I did not know was a rock.
I particularly liked 5d, 22d, and 25d!
I don't think there is anything there today to bewilder a scientist!

Yes, Rusty, there's definitely an error in 16 A - but I think it won't hold anyone up, as it's a bit obvious.

PS. I am - and always have been - female (not that it matters!).

Gracious, Malone!
Please accept my apologies!
I did not realise you were a lady!
No, it is a very getable clue, I am sure our scientist will have no trouble with it!
A good puzzle today.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I had already tackled 16a and had come to the same conclusion as you,.
Obviously there is an error there?
I t would appear to be an anagram of "player is" but there is a superfluous "i" and a missing "a"?
Maybe it should read "player as"?
(Although I am not sure if that would then make sense?)
I have finished the puzzle now...and especially liked 10a; 18a; 4d and 7d!
No ,fortunately, I remain "unbewildered" today!
The house next door has been sold!
Although, as it is all in the hands of a solicitor, we do not as yet know to whom!

Rusty, it's fine - and although I am not male, I also do not consider myself a lady. The words 'woman' and 'female' are perfectly fine! Until someone starts telling me they have seen a 'gentleman doctor', I would ban phrases such as 'lady doctor'.

PS. I forgot to say that I too liked Monkman on University Challenge. I always like people who show so much interest and enthusiasm.
