Hi ChrisE,

It's not too far, about 150 km (max), but the thunder line passed to the west of us. The village is about 80km East of Orleans, bordering the Bourgogne area.

Do you know the name of town for the golf? Mind you I could google it !

PS - ChrisE, I have just googled and it is in Guyancourt, I would say 160 kms north-west of us. And yes, the thunder was to go over that area, following an axe South-West of France - North Scotland.

Finally got to sleep, then at 2.05 am my neighbour's alarm goes off. I don't have a key and even if I did I wouldn't have investigated. But I did watch and saw nothing out of place. Eventually the noise stopped but the light is still flashing.
Then heard car start up at 3 am.
Took ages to get back to sleep then, but much cooler now

Hello, Pigale!
Yes, a fine morning here, thank you!
Was very noisy for several hours during the night.
No wind, but thunder, lightning, and rain!
A Scottish summer!
It seems to very hot in France. England, too.
The Tour teams presentation is this evening.
I'll watch it on Eurosport, and hope it wont be too boring!

Elle, I read that Heather next meets that dreadful Serena (panic room) person.
Heather would be unlikely to beat her?
I shall cheer her on, regardless!
Are you giving "the ladies who lunch" the elbow today, due to Wimbledon?

Morning again, Rusty!
Sorry you had a disturbed night! At least you had a thunderstorm to clear the air - which hopefully it has done?
Pleasanter out this morning, due it's only being 23C (ten degrees cooler than yesterday!) but we are promised / threatened with a thunderstorm here by midday - it's already looking dark and cloudy.
I wonder whether it will affect Wimbledon - that's about 10 miles way from here.
Yes, Heather is to meet Serena next- I very much doubt that she stands a chance! but I shall be routing for her!(anyone who can beat Serena has my blessing!)
Today has some big names on court.....
Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal, Andy Murray, Petra Kvitova, Jo-Wilfrid Tsonga and James Ward (GB) are all playing.
Yes, of course I shall forego "lunch" today in favour of Wimbledon - did you really expect me to do anything else???

Elle, the air has not cleared!
It looks like my thunderstorm is moving South?
I do not know Wimbledon forecast.
You can find it on Accuweather. I find them quite accurate.
i like Tsonga. James Ward is new to me.
Maybe the "ladies" are tennis fans, too.

I am about to contact my granddaughters to see if they have anything in my "social diary"!

Good Morning/Bonjour
Sky completely cloudy here ( about 9 miles West of Wimbledon) and rain has just started. It is forecast to be heavy at noon to 13.00 hrs. and again at 15.00 to 1700 hrs. and usually Wimbledon have the rain about 10 mins. after us.
I have a question for Elle, as I feel you are one of the forum experts on tennis. I have googled until I am blue in the face, with no results. I will post later.
