Rusty, you are so lucky to live so near to that beautiful waterfall. The only ones I have seen are abroad, Japan and Yosemite in USA.

Re the OED enquiry, I liked a show some years ago, where viewers were asked to submit verification of the origin of words. Presented by Victoria Coren "Balderdash and Piffle" I think was the show. They should bring that back

Several good ones near us (Yorkshire Dales), jazzy. The Ingleton Waterfalls walk is nationally famous.
