Update, Elle!
Danielle Kang won the golf,
Brooke Henderson second, and Chella Choi in third.
A great tournament!
Now, Wimbledon!
This is what I found.
Tomorrow.
Laura Robson, Court 18, 11.30 a.m.
Naomi Broady, Court 14, 2.30 p.m.
Heather Watson, Court 2, 3.45 p.m.
Jo Konta, Court 1, 3.45 p.m.
Use your Red Button, and they will probably be there.
OK?

Good morning, Rusty!
!I am glad that you enjoyed your golf tournament!
Let us hope that we are as satisfied with the outcomes at Wimbledon over the next fortnight!
Thank you for finding out the playing schedule for me......that was most kind of you!
I do hope that Jo is up to playing at her usual high standard.........
I haven't heard any more about her injury resulting from her fall on court, have you?
I haven't taken the dog out for her walk this morning, as I needed to phone for an appointment (re my toe!) at 8am.
This has been done......
I go to see one of the GPs at 11.40am today!

Good morning, Elle!
A fine fresh day here!
The golf was fine but the channel takes a bit of getting used to.
It was not the usual SkySports 4, but SkySports Mix, which was basically NBC, and too many ads, for my liking.
I am looking forward to the Irish Open Golf this week, from Portstewart.
Not heard anything about Jo, hope she is fine.
Your surgery seems efficient to arrange your appointment so quickly!
Mine's is like that, too.
Much better than the olden days when it was days before they could see you!
Hope you and your toe gets on fine, there!

Hi, Rusty!
A fine and breezy day here, too!
Yes, I was fortunate in one sense in getting an appointment promptly, but it means seeing just "any" doctor within the practice...whereas I should prefer to see my own GP.
It seems however, that since my last visit to the surgery - which must be about two or three years ago - my GP is now taking semi-retirement and only puts in the occasional shift there.
Time marches on for all of us...the doctors included!
I have just looked in on the osprey nest.
All four of them are there!
It is good to see that Laddie is all right.
I am already two-thirds way through the 15 x15!

Hello, Elle!
I am just in from ASDA.
Some of the girls there are discussing their outfits for the graduations this week.
I was no help, I'm afraid!
Your surgery seems to have a similar set up to mine.
Ours is called "sit and wait" but no guarantee of which doctor will see you.
It works well!
My old doctor retired and I have a fine young doctor from Tiree looking after me now.
He's a very nice lad and we get on very well!
You are doing well with the puzzle!
I shall attempt it later on.
I have to devote my attention to coffee and pancakes just now!

Hi, Rusty!
I hope you enjoyed the coffee and pancakes!
Well done the Asda girls - I hope their graduations go well!
And that they enjoy their future careers, whatever they may be.
You will miss their smiling faces, and the "chat" when they leave!
My younger daughter worked for Pizza Hut during the Sixth Form and University - they were excellent employers, working their rotas out with great care and attention for their student staff.
I had trouble with 16d in the puzzle.......
I have ?H?E?I?L
and have no idea how to proceed!
Right...I am away off to see the GP....you have no idea how I am dreading this......

Hello, Elle!
I have not checked this out but 16d looks like "shoebill" which is a bird.
Not at all sure if it frequents African swamps though!
An Oxford can be a type of "shoe".
"Bill" could be a man.
That seems to be the parse.
The ASDA girls are great.
Always very friendly to me, and cheery!
Yes, they are great "craic"!
Sometimes they will be the only folk I speak to all day.
Fingers and toes crossed for a good result at GP!

Update, Elle!
Chambers tells me that a "shoebill" is a large African wading bird.
Hopefully it wades through swamps!

Hi, Rusty!
I decided against crossing my toes....!
All went well at the GP surgery.
Your long-distance diagnosis was spot -on!
The very nice young lady doctor whom I saw, also thinks that - despite my not ticking any of the boxes - this might well be gout in my big toe!
On the plus side, she thinks that I have (stoically) endured the worst of it and my toe may well be on the mend now!
Or at least...very soon!
My foot is still swollen, but hey, who knows what tomorrow may bring!
I have medication that I may take "if I wish " - she is aware that I don't like taking "pills"!
I have asked for a blood test for uric acid to find out the diagnosis "for sure".
Now that I am assured that it is nothing worse and anyway will clear up on its own, I do feel better!
Thank you for "shoebill"; I didn't know that an "Oxford" was a shoe?
I thought 6d a bit inaccurate?
A bitch is not synonymous with a dog?
The two are opposite genders!

Hello, Pigale!
I survived the ordeal!
And actually, I thought the young lady doctor whom I saw was very nice and informative.
I liked her, and would (albeit perhaps not willingly) see her again!
