Post crossed yours, Elle!
That is very good news about Mr Jingles.
He has settled in well.
Well done!

Hi, Rusty!
I am glad to hear that Miss L-B approves of your haircut and your new youthful appearance - especially to the extent of asking you to take her to the garage tomorrow!!
"Flattery will get her everywhere"!
I totally agree with you about the need for good manners in all walks of life,
You rant away!
It is perfectly justified!
I fear that Mr J is outstaying his welcome.....I couldn't believe my eyes when he paused to wash his face!
So who is playing tennis today?
You did say that it was a women's Tournament? - or did I dream that?
Any big names playing?

Hello, Elle!
Miss La Bamba is not daft!
Anyway I agreed to take her to the garage in the morning!
Anyone who depends on the public for their livelihood should be at the least, pleasant and welcoming.
The two barbers I visited were not.
So, I moved on, and to be fair, I have made not too bad a job of it.
I will get the ASDA ladies opinion in the morning!
I saw the women's names who are competing at Bogota but I did not recognise them.

Good morning, Rusty!
Another nice day here; hopefully this will last over the Easter weekend.
How is it in your neck of the woods?
How did you fare at Asda?
Did your new haircut pass muster with the ladies?
I am having a quiet day today - as yet, anyway!
How about you?
What do you have planned?

Good morning, Elle!
Started out fine here but cloudying over a bit now.
Yes, the ASDA girls approved of my new look!
Quiet day here.
I will watch a bit of the cycling on my TV.
Elinor Barker won a silver medal yesterday.
It is a very young team GB in Beijing.
Good to see the young ones on the way up.
There was a clip yesterday of a younger Jo Rowsell, Lizzie Armitstead, and Wendy Houvenaghel, winning a previous Worlds pursuit title.
Seems a long time ago!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
It is still reasonably nice here, but yes, there is an odd cloud hovering........
I have been waiting in for a pet food delivery, but it has arrived now.......so we can at last go out with the dog!
I think we shall have to drive out a bit to avoid picnickers and food!
How is the cycling going?
Are you watching or are you , too, going out for a walk?
I forgot to ask if Miss L-B recovered her car from the garage in good working order this morning?
Our daughter has duly had the clutch replaced in her car, as otherwise the car has been passed as being in good working order.
So she felt justified in spending the money on it.
Hopefully, it is now good for a few more years yet!
All problems are gradually getting sorted!
That is good!
Right, I am off out for a bit......

Hello, Elle!
Miss La Bamba collected her car and is back on the road again.
Glad your daughter has had her car fixed!
I watched a bit of the cycling.
It is in Hong Kong, not Beijing.
I much prefer the road cycling though.
It is a very young team GB has.
I had a short walk earlier.
Tea time now, and then my son should visit.

Good evening, Rusty!
This afternoon, we went to one of our local parks that has recently become much larger due to the closure of the public golf course there.
The area is very extensive, about 240 acres, I think.
There are plans afoot to "remake" the park as it apparently used to be in bygone days.
A Wetlands and lake are part of the project.
It will be interesting to see this develop.
I just hope that consequently the area does not become too commercialised.
It is lovely as it stands........
I expect that as I write this, your son might well have arrived?
You will both be enjoying the chat!
I shall go and prepare dinner.......

Hello, Elle!
It seems to be a very big park!
Hope it comes off!
My son has just left!
We had a good chat, mainly about the latest UKAD investigation on Team Sky.
Not many crossword queries on here today?
Wonder why?

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, we are very fortunate in having a number of very large parks, plus several commons, nearby.
Most of them do require a short drive initially, though, to gain access.
It is good that you and your son get a good chance to chat regularly.
Does he share your views on the corruptness of British cycling officials and competitors?
That puts me in mind about your saying you were looking for a more cheering book to read.....have you fixed on anything that interests you?
I am reading a detective thriller / murder investigation story by Mark Billingham at the moment.
Relatively lightweight books, but a good read none-the-less, I find.
Mark Billingham is an author , actor and comedian.
Did I ever mention that I saw him on "Eggheads" a while back?
I think the fewer folk on the forum might be down to the coming of Easter?
People going away?
