Good morning, Rusty!
And a very wet one it is, too!
But all the frost is now washed away - and we have no fog to greet us today!
( leastways, not out here in suburbia!)
It feels milder, too.
That is a blow for you about EuroSport if it does come to pass.
Is there no way of getting the channel independently?
You would really miss it were it to go.
What time are you off out to your granddaughter's?
Did you buy an Asda voucher for her as a house-warming present?
Yes, La La Land is getting rave reviews....(and I'm sure you always intended to pay, anyway!)
Fingers crossed for Venus, today!

Hello, Ros!
Wet here, too!
We haven't even been out yet......so you are ahead of us.
How long did your walk take this morning?

Hi elle

25 min 25 sec. Not especially good but I was wearing waterproof overtrousers which I think drag on my knees. That's my excuse anyway!

Good morning, Elle!
Raining here!
First wet day for a while.
Yes, I purchased a George gift card for my granddaughter.
It can be used for anything except petrol and lottery tickets.
I will leave in an hour or so.
The Williams girls are playing now.
I will wait until next week (Feb) to see what happens with Eurosport.
The phone lines to Sky are red hot with folk cancelling, and those wanting to pay less for having twelve channels removed.
I may have to bin Sky and switch to Virgin to get Eurosport.
Or possibly BT TV.
I'll ask the young ones.
Eurosport is a must for me for the cycling and skiing.
Great athletics coverage too, with the Diamond League and the big city marathons.
But, we shall see what develops!

Hi, Rusty!
Our rain has stopped and the sun is peeping through.......
I looked on BBC Sport and found that the Williams sisters' match was nearly over!
Serena has won in two straight sets - was it not a very good Final?
I am hearing that Serena broke her racquet in half? (typical!)
I do hope that tomorrow 's Men's Final is not an anti-climax after yesterday's great match between Rafa and Grigor Dimitrov.
Yes, I should hang on and see what develops with Discovery and Sky..... if there is too much public antagonism , maybe there will be a change of heart/ policy?
Enjoy your coffee with Miss ATW!

Hello, Elle!
Just home from my coffee with Miss ATW.
Had a nice time.
She is wanting to come to see La La Land too.
We could end up with a mini-bus going!
I did not see the the racquet breaking incident.
Saw a wee tear in Venus's eye at the end though.
Let us hope the men put on a great final too.
No, I shall hang fire until Sky and Discovery sort out their differences.
Be interesting to see what happens.
Are Sky content to lose customers?
Seems strange to me!
But, Miss ATW has Virgin TV and all the sports channels are available on that.
I had a look at Virgin TV when I was there.
So, an excellent alternative!

Hi, Rusty!
Just arrived back home ourselves!
We went out for a walk once the rain had stopped (apparently for the day).
And yes, a little bit warmer than previously.
I am glad that you had a good time with Miss ATW!
How is the new flat?
I am sure she was thrilled to receive your voucher!
Did she say what she wanted to buy with it?
I can see you will be going to see "La La Land" with a bevy of beautiful young ladies!
I am home for the day now.........
I shall watch the Williams sisters' highlights (duly recorded) and later "The Voice: UK" and try to catch up with "Casualty".
I record these programmes and then never get around to watching them!
I need a coffee.....

Hello, Elle!
Apparently it is not straightforward going to the pictures.
I have to eat "slush puppies" I think, she saId?
Any idea what that may be?
The new flat is fine.
Almost finished.
Still raining here, but not cold.
Crossword finished!

Hi, Rusty!
Sorry, "slush puppies " are new to me!
It sounds perhaps like something you might drink .......or maybe "slurp"!
( "Hush puppies" though are a form of footwear!)
I think you had best prepare yourself for anything when you make this cinema trip!
Is Miss La Bamba going, too?
I've done the Jumbo GK , and I have all but finished the 15 x 15....
I couldn't do 21D:
No end of food during a meal (6)
F?R?N?
And I have a few yet to parse......
While I am seeking inspiration, I shall go and wash my hair!

Hello, Elle!
21, I have "farina", which is meal.
Far(e) for no end of food, in is during, or in a, (take your pick) and "a" is in clue.
We have snow!
I might have "slush puppies" wrong?
But it is something like that.
Not heard about La Bamba, but the other two have decided granddad is paying!
I am looking forward to it!
