Hello, Elle!
I was on the Nature Trail today.
A brisk walk and it was quite cold out.
Home for the day, now.
I imagine the online Radio 5 will be the same.
Yes, the oldies are to the fore at the tennis!
Crossword complete, too.
Best go and find a book to read.
Sky News is all about the Donald, and I can not be doing with him!

Hi, Rusty!
I am glad you enjoyed your walk.
It is unlike me not to brave the elements regardless, but somehow I just couldn't face the cold this afternoon.
"Nesh" of me, I know!
I have only done the Times QC.......I just wasn't in the mood for crosswords.
I have started a new book - another Christmas present - this time a very different genre, by Danielle Steele.
Tomorrow 's outing up to town has been postponed...my friend has called it off because of the weather.
She has a much long journey than I up to London.
Probably as well, as I am likely to have transport problems at this end.
There has been a derailment on the South-Eastern Rail; not directly on our line but the backlash does seems to be affecting our area too.
Also, there is a 24 hour tube strike starting today on some lines...I know that the Central line is affected.
There will most likely be a carry- over effect from this too , which will affect tomorrow.
So perhaps better all round that we defer our meeting up till another day.
"The Donald", as you call him, will be busy for a while building his Wall!

Hello, Elle!
I think the Donald is loopy.
He has not mentioned filling in all the tunnels under the border, so far.
His wall won't happen, I do not think.
It is a very ineffective way of sealing a border.
The PM is going to see him tomorrow!
I wonder how that will go?
It has been a fine day up here, but a bit cold.
Your travel problems are a strong hint to stay home tomorrow!
Settle down with your new book.

Hi, Rusty!
It is a good job that I listened to Roger's playing tennis this morning.......I forgot to set the recorder for today's TV Highlights!
(The times vary from day to day so I cannot set it on "Daily")
I am most annoyed with myself, but at least I caught some of the excitement on the radio!
It will be interesting to see/ hear how Theresa May gets on with Mr Trump........she seems to be a very practical, straight thinking lady....with her feet firmly on the ground..... whereas Mr T.....well, I will not pass an opinion on a public forum!
But I am sure you are with me in thought?
Yes, I think it advisable to stay home tomorrow...although our weather is set to improve?
It is supposedly going to be a tad warmer......
I have just realised it is Thursday...probably you have your son visiting you at the moment?

Good evening, Elle!
Hard frost here, again!
Have you heard that Mrs Trump is not going to stay in the White House?
She is going to stay in New York.
Seems a bit odd? Could be just a rumour, though.
It was a neighbour who told me.
She plays a violin and has several cats.
Mrs May will have to grit her teeth and get on with it.
The Donald may offer her a job laying bricks on his Wall!
I have been watching the golf from California.
Great weather there!

Trump also wants to shut down the Federal Reserve, last two presidents to try that were Lincoln and Kennedy.

Hi, Rusty!
We have frost here too, not as yet on the ground, but certainly all over the cars.
Strange, when it is supposedly going to be several degrees warmer tomorrow?
Yes, I did read that Melania Trump was going to remain in New York for now......the reason given was that she wished to stay there whilst her son remained in his present school year?
I have no idea how much credence to put on that?
( She must have something going for her though if she has cats!)
How is your golf going?
Who is playing?
Don't forget...Nadal is to play Dimitrov in the other semi -final!
Will that be tonight? (our time?)

I'm afraid I don't know enough about the Federal Reserve to attempt to comment on that, Deepseabob!

Hello, Elle!
It will not be much warmer here until Monday.
It is my neighbour that has cats and a fiddle, not Mrs Trump.
All the top pros are playing in the golf tournament.
Eurosport has the tennis live from midnight.
Be a bit later before Nadal plays though.

Hi, Rusty!
Oh dear, these pronouns will be our undoing!
Still, good for your neighbour!
Is this the neighbour who is a nurse?
We used to have four cats, but only have the one now!
He is still hunting for Mr Jingles!
I shall "cheat" in the morning and check how Nadal did!

Good morning, Elle!
Nadal alert!
The semi-final will take place at 8.30 UK time.
Should be on your Radio 5.
No, this is another neighbour.
My neighbourly nurse is on holiday just now.
Long live Mr Jingles!
