Hi, Rusty!
I cannot compete with snow!
But we have had hailstones!
Very large, very noisy ones!
It must have been painful to be outside while they were falling!
Is your snow sticking?
"Farina" is a new word to me! Thank you for the explanation.
That's what grandparents are for........paying for things!
I bought YB some shoes on Wednesday!
It is nice to be able to do things for the young ones, isn't it?
Money was tight when I was young.........and when my own children were small.
I'm not exactly "well-off" now, but I can afford to pay for treats and "stuff"!
Like you, I love being able to do so!!
Well done, Vroum Vroum!
Where was she running?
Did you have a bet on her?

Hello, Elle!,
Farina is a bit like porridge, I think.
No, the snow has gone, but my son told me the roads were bad when he was coming home from the fishing.
Mag was running in a mare's race at Doncaster.
No bets for a week or two.
Just a fan of Mag, and wanted to cheer her on.
Nina Carberry was helping with the commentary.
I will text the girls later about La La Land.
I think they need popcorn and juice and the dear Lord knows what else when they go.
Could be expensive, this pictures lark!
Paddy Power has Nadal favourite to beat Federer.
I thought it would be the other way round.

Slush puppies are an expensive mixture of crushed ice and some fruit flavoured cordial. Expensive and not good for you!

Hey, Rusty!
I was surprised by the hail....especially as it has been a bit milder today.
I have been watching "The Voice".....
I didn't like it when ITV first took it over from the BBC.........the format was changed....but it has improved and "gelled" somewhat since, after a rather ( to me) rough beginning.
Maybe it is because the judges are starting to relate better to each other, too?
Yes, even my younger daughter, at 32, eats popcorn in the cinema!
You will enjoy yourself, I am sure!
I too am surprised that PP is supporting Nadal over Federer?
I shall be happy for either to win......but will be ecstatic should it be Roger!
So....fingers crossed.
The highlights are not showing on BBC 2 until 1 pm....so I have to get through the day until then without finding out who wins..........

Hello, Elle!
My grandson is maybe coming too!
I had better start saving up.
A choc ice would be sort of healthy, I think?
I am looking forward to my cinema trip!
I wonder is there discount for old jokers like me?
I do not know The Voice at all.
BGT is my programme.
Paddy Power could well be wrong.
Their experts think Nadal will win but there is not much in it.
And, they were wildly wrong in the US election, and in our EU referendum.
So you keep rooting for Roger!
I shall watch it, and would prefer Roger to win.
And he is Swiss, like my favourite cyclist Cancellara.
I am sure Fabian will be watching!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, maybe your grandson should come too - you might need some male support!
You can get a Senior Citizen's discount at the cinema!
And also a Student discount if any of the girls, or your grandson, is still studying?
Is the film showing at a local cinema, or will you have to go into Dundee?
We shall take the dog out early tomorrow (at 8 am, as I do on a weekday) so that I can be back in time to do the Everyman crossword, and then watch Roger and Rafa!
Good organisation, yes?
We were having the family over for the day........but the little one is unwell.
He has a bad cold and cough - he is on antibiotics and will hopefully be better soon, but of course we do not want him to pass any germs on to my husband.
It is disappointing , but they will all come here next Sunday instead.
We shall look forward to that!

Hello, Elle!
My grandson is at Uni.
I will depend on the girls to keep me right.
I think the cinema they will choose is about a mile away, not near the city centre.
I have not been to it.
Paddy P states the tennis final starts at 8.42.
Are you not going to listen to it on the wireless?
Good thinking regarding your husband and germs.
Keep them away!

Hi, Rusty!
If your grandson comes with you to see La La Land , then he should be able to get a student discount - he will know all about that, I am sure.
No, I am staying away from the Radio 5 transmission and am going to watch the Men's Final match on the television on BBC 2 at 1 o'clock!
It is much more rewarding seeing it, than just listening to it!
I watched the Serena v Venus match today.
It was very good!
I had thought from hearing the result - Serena's winning in two straight sets - that it was perhaps an easy match.......but not so!
Venus played extremely well!
I just have to keep from hearing the result tomorrow until after I have watched Roger and Rafa play....!

Hello, Elle!
It is noticeable how more muscular Serena is compared with Venus.
She is like a boxer.
I am not sure if my grandson will come or not.
I hear there is a young lady on his horizon.
We shall see.
I look upon it as an adventure!
An evening out with the young ones!
You will do well to not hear the tennis result!
John McEnroe says they are the two best players to have played the game.
I thought Rod Laver would be up there, but I think Federer is the best I have seen, now.
