Thank you for your kind response, Rusty.
It was an AB-er (who was, but is no longer, on my online list of "friends") He has now apologized also.
I will, however, refrain from looking in on this thread and then there will be no temptation to advise unnecessarily.
PLease let me know if redcoral posts again as I would have missed her post otherwise. Thanks

Hello, Jazzgirl!
I understand how you feel, but there is absolutely no need to stop contributing to this thread.
A bit of a molehill has turned into a mountain, if you do not mind me saying so.
I would certainly welcome your posts and am sure everyone else would too.
So will you please reconsider?
Possibly Norah would delete the post if you asked her?
I will however let you know if Redcoral posts.

Hello, Jazzgirl!
I have just returned from shopping .................
This does seem to be rather "a storm is a teacup"?
You were - albeit misguidedly - trying to help, after all.
(The post was addressed to me and I accepted it at face value.
In the light of what you have since said, I have discounted it already!)
I am sure this can be accepted as such and there is no need for you to worry any further, nor to abstain from posting on here.

Hello, Elle!
I see you have survived "the Sales!"
I hope you got a bargain or two as well as sore feet!
I have had a canny day!
On plan B now.
Visiting tomorrow instead of today.
Tomorrow suits everyone better, so...

Hi, Rusty!
I am being revived by a strong coffee!
Actually, we have had a surprisingly good day.
The shops were far less crowded than I had anticipated........ but then the children are back at school........and in some shops the Sales were already over.
But my mission was more -or- less accomplished.
A gift for my husband was exchanged.... he was given two identical shirts, would you believe?
And presents for my granddaughter bought.
Also I have bought myself a new pair of slipper boots!
(I am wearing them now! Very comfortable!)
I am considering the complete set of Beatrix Potter books for BB.........
I am about to consult Google to see what I can find?
Well, going with Plan B at least means you have your visit to look forward to, instead of its being over!
Miss O'H will still be on holiday tomorrow then?

Good evening, Elle!
I think many more folk shop online these days, hence the less crowded Sales.
Slipper boots sound the biz!
Have a look on Amazon for Beatrix Potter?
Our schools will be off until Monday, I think.
Yes, I will see young Miss O'H tomorrow and pup.
Miss O and me are going to lunch on Friday.
You will not have had a look at crossword?
I did it online today.

Hi, Rusty!
I have found a complete set of Beatrix Potter books online with "Book People".
Brand new (a necessity as they are to be a present) and an excellent price!
Saving me a lot of money!
Have you heard of the company?
My daughter said that she had bought from them before...so I have ordered the books for BB's birthday.
That will be good to see Miss O'H tomorrow!
What did Santa bring her?
And the pup.....how old is she now?
Have you considered taking her with you on your walks?
No, I haven't looked at the 15 x15 yet,
but am going to do so now.........

Hello, Elle!
I think I had books from the Book People years ago, before I purchased a laptop.
I do remember good deals from them, including my first ever paperback Chambers.
I think the pup may have been from Santa, was it?
Not sure how old the pup is, but i know she nips!
I won't be walking the pup.
They live quite a bit away and it is uphill every step of the way.
Did I tell you I live on the side of a volcano?

Hi, Rusty!
I haven't come across the "Book People" before but the deal hopefully is a good one, and the books will be nicely presented.
I am paying just short of £30 instead of just over £100!
Your son has had the puppy for quite a while now....surely too long before Christmas for her to have been a present for that occasion?
She should be being taught not to "nip"........
It is instinctive for pups to "mouth" in their exploration of things - including people! - but biting can really hurt and it does need to be gently stopped.
Probably your son is training her to know better, and she will be much gentler when you see her tomorrow!
Pups learn quickly and are eager to please!
Yes, I knew that you lived on the side of a (hopefully extinct!) volcano!
Now......I have done some of the 15 x15...but am puzzled by 11a?
Criminal left another listening in (9)
I have "larcenist"= criminal.
and it is obviously a homophone.
l - left
"arcenist" sounds like "arsonist"?
but there isn't a word "arcenist" - or not that I can find?
There is arcAnist?
but the crosser makes it definitely an "e".
And "larcenist" is obviously correct.
Can a non -existent word be used like this? or have I gone wrong somewhere?
Help!

Hello, Elle!
It is 400 million years old.
They say it is the "plug" of the volcano.
Does not make it any easier to walk up though!
I had "larcenist".
I took him to mean arcenist sounds like arsonist to the ear.
I do not see why you need arcenist to be a word?
That group of letters sounds like the word the setter is after.
Straightforward, surely?
I know the pup is just using her teeth to explore.
Sharks do the same.
I remember now!
Miss O'H got a "selfie-stick" from Santa.
Have you heard of a selfie-stick?
The Book People were good to deal with as I recall, and yes, they have some excellent bargains.
