Good day, Elle!
I said Nokia "started out" making wellies.
That was what they made to begin with.
Mobile phones came many years later.
It is very mild here, I think.
And a lovely day, to boot.
Fingers crossed for the wellies!
I was out earlier, at ASDA.
When you are out shopping, see how many cars with green tyres you see?
Jess is delighted with her gold medal!

Hi Elle, Rusty and everyone!

There is a rather beautiful picture of the Loch on the blog - a very different view point; I had not realised it was so big!

Minus 7 last night and everything (even trees) white frost up to 10.30! max temps for today +2 , but beautiful and sunny healthy weather. A bit cold for my liking though.....

Hello, Pigale!
There are several nice photos on the blog!
The loch is one of five in a group near Dunkeld, Perthshire.
It is quite mild here today after a week or more of frosts.
But, I think we are forecast colder weather!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Home again!
I have had an enjoyable day out!
A gorgeous day but still very cold!
Now...if you google Nokia Wellies or Nokian Footwear... I think you will be very surprised!
I most certainly was!
I have "looked in" on my welly boots since my return......
The repair does appear to be "effective"...... it is hardly glamorous!...but so long as the boot is waterproof.....
I shall report back after we have had some heavy rain and I have walked a few miles in the boots!
I was bedazzled with green tyres on cars whilst out........
What have you been up to?

Hello, Pigale!
I am sorry I couldn't reply earlier - I have been out for lunch.
I have just had a look at the Loch of the Lowes......I hadn't realised that it was so large, either.
Seeing it from an entirely different view point such a difference, doesn't it?
Your nights are certainly colder than ours!

Hello, Elle!
You see, you were a tad sceptical about Nokia wellies!
It is a fine day here.
I am awaiting a call from the nice Geordie lass who is dealing with my phone upgrade.
I hope your repair is effective!
Wellies are not supposed to look glamorous!
Green tyres? No such thing, and for a very good reason!
There are some nice pics on the Loch blog, as Pigale said.

Hi, Rusty!
Indeed I was doubtful about Nokia's producing wellingtons!
but you are right......they do...and very fashionable ones they are, too!
I cannot compare them with my mucky old "mended" green ones!
Now I have just had a "zizz"!
I think it was the warmth indoors after being out in the cold that caused me to "drop off"!
Were it not for the dog - who insisted that I be awake - I should probably still be in the land of Nod!
Did you get your call about your phone upgrade?
Are you updating to anything that I would remotely recognise as a phone?
Mine does absolutely nothing but ring!
You would be horrified by its very archaicness!
Oh dear......I think I need a coffee.....

Hello, Elle,
I did not know that Nokia still made wellies.
I am not sure if they still make phones!
Your cobbled wellies are fine for what they are designed for.
No, no phone call, so far.
No rush though.
The phone I want was "state of the art" about a year ago, so shall do me fine.
My son should visit later.
And the golf is "live" on TV at 6.
From the Bahamas.
The return of "Tiger"!
Where are you and "Mr M" heading this evening?

Elle, do not worry about your archaic mobile phone - All I have ever wanted from a phone is to ring!

Hi, Rusty!
If you haven't already done so, Google Nokia Wellies - the site is an eye-opener!
Actually....my phone is a Nokia 1100 - that will tell you how ancient a model it is!
When the guy in Carphone Warehouse asked me what I wanted the phone to do....
I said "Ring"!
And "ring" and "text" are its full achievements!
But it suits me fine!
That is all I need!
So you will be watching golf until your son arrives.......?
Mr M and I are discussing "Politics" this evening1
That is the heading of my next chapter!
I am watching "Eggheads" now though.....

Hello, Pigale!
That is good! We are in agreement over our phones!

Hello, Elle!
I looked at the Nokia wellies site.
Very smart!
Your phone is an old model but it does what you need and that is the main thing.
The golf was OK, but the course was pretty poor I thought.
Yes, my son was here.
We had a good chat!
