THEA: I'm often surprised by the de rigueur unkind comments made about Christians, mainly because most of the representatives of the species I happen to know are kind, intelligent, tolerant people. I find such comments offensive and even bigoted. I suppose the reason I didn't "viscerally" find this clue offensive is that I think of It as our share in the utter joy of Creation, and thus also think that God isn't at all offended to hear His name called out when we're, uh, sharing. I've often hoped that you haven't seen some of the posts on this site; polite society doesn't tolerate similar comments about people of other faiths. I should think that your thoughtful, witty (and priestly) example would make us all more respectful, and careful. I for one would be very pleased to have you as a friend- and I'm sorry to have disappointed you (my eldest daughter says that males are incapable of progressing beyond the mental age of sixteen, and she's perhaps being generous). I think I'd hit it off with Bullfrog too.
Best wishes for the New Year, THEA. May we all be more appreciative of the hopes and loves of others, and happier.
