I wonder whether something is goin on in Brendan’s life this weekend.
A very quick but enjoyable solve with a clear theme.
FOI 3, LOI 14.
COD - a few to choose from but I’m going for the rather brilliant 21.
Thanks Brendan, and, er, enjoy the weekend?

‘going’ obviously. My eyes are tired and I’m somewhat relieved that they can rest early tonight.

Yes, thanks to Brendan.
Super-quick solve but highly entertaining with many clues I enjoyed.
FOI 8, LOI also 14.

Thematic, and all the solutions in one direction are related. One key thematic goes in the other direction.

For personal reasons, my COD must be 1, closely followed by 11 and 17 neck and neck. Although rogissimo's choice of 21 is likely best from an objective standpoint: not only witty, but the key point relates to a couple of other clues in the grid. Also liked 13, 4, 5, 8, 19 and 25.

Thanks to Brendan for this heavily themed offering which, as Rog and Geeker have already said, is very much at the easier end of the scale.

That said, I still haven't fully parsed 16a but am sure of my answer.

COD - I think I'll go with 21a, not least because I spotted the correct use of "sex" which caught me out in a puzzle a little while back.

On reflection, as often happens my LOI of 14 deserves mention as a COD contender.

Brendan (solver), 16 is a little gem, dd of sorts. There's a homophone hidden in one definition, and you'll kick yourself when you see the other one. ;-)

"She traverses (isle from sound)"? That's the other thing IMO.

A fun theme and a fun puzzle, not too taxing by Prize standards. Particularly enjoyed the clueing for 20a and 21a (the latter being especially devious).

After a tough work week, I was dreading another thorny Enigmatist, so grateful for the comparatively easier road...
