Maybe I'm just not off my game or still suffering the aftereffects of Enigmatist's Prize, but I found this really rather tricky.

Still, I did enjoy it and some of the clues had wonderfuls surfaces.

COD: liked 24a, 26a, 7d and 14a sounded particularly yummy, but I'm going to go for 6a... I do hope it didn't involve any 10a, though:-)

As always, thanks to Everyman.

Stay safe:-)

I found it tough but fair. Having said that, I still cannot parse 2d.
Thanks Everyman

Hi Edc,

2d - If you were to replace the "knight" in the answer with "queen", it would change the meaning to "really" instead of "yet".

26a works without Merlin so what's he doing there?

Pretty straightforward I thought but cannot parse 5d though I am pretty sure the answer I have must be correct as it fits the definition indicated by the first 2 words of the clue. Any ideas please?
