G...(autocorrect made it Gandalf and I can't remember, sorry!), I think "such" is more significant than it seems: ambassador=he = "heart" with such, where "such" is the 11-letter solution - ie the removal, or lack, of "art".

I was previously trying to parse it by adding "he" to the 11-letter word and using that 13-letter word, but I don't think that's the way.

Thanks pamd. Yes I hadn’t focused on such, but I feel it has to carry too much weight in the clue. My rewrite would be ‘Lost ambassador reveals heart with negativity and innocence’. I should probably stick to the day job.
