It’s a somewhat decorative “fastener” that a lady would wear.

jvector I think the E you have in 12a is incorrect.

Def is 'puzzled', and a word for what a 'wobbly' can be.

It's tricky to think of a nudge that doesn't give the game away...

I didn’t realize wobbly could be a noun. Why didn’t I look it up in Chambers I ask myself? 🤷‍♀️ Thanks, wulgus.

jvector, wulgus is correct - the E is not. Check your 2d.

1d: That is the word I had in mind. I'll just file that as an unforgivable homonym.
12a: Quite right daria and wulgus = I had a momentary hiccup entering 2d. The E is an O.
That points me to an adjective for 12a that can mean puzzled and might end up wobbly in a certain crafty context maybe, but I don't see a nounal connection.
Thanks both.

Slow start for me but satisfying when it started to click.

Just a few remaining in the lower left of the grid-

19d Reportedly, officers in bits (7)
???N?L

15d Painted veil with rose covers (4,4)
L??? O?E?

Any steers appreciated

I’m not sure which fastener you have but there is one that sounds like a word that describes the raising of a difficult subject.

I have a love/ hate relationship with Paul ,this week I love him. Great fun , perhaps some over complicated parsing or maybe just too clever for me!
FOI 7a
LOI 26d
COD 22d with 17a
Parsing of 20a still a mystery but it must be obvious as no other queries .
